On April 3rd, Renault Korea unveiled its electric SUV, the ‘Scenic E-TECH,’ to celebrate the opening of the Renault Seongsu Popup Store.

The Scenic, a traditional model from Renault that has been in continuous production since its launch in Europe in 1996, has now undergone electrification with its fifth generation, making its debut in Korea.

The face of the Scenic features Renault’s new diamond emblem, the ‘Roangeju,’ prominently displayed. The rear also showcases the Roangeju logo, exuding a dignified presence reminiscent of a French soldier.

Measuring 4,470 × 1,864 × 1,571 mm, the design embodies the simplicity typical of the French. The wheelbase measures 2,780 mm, providing ample space with two fists fitting snugly in front of the knees and enough headroom for a fist above. The absence of a center tunnel ensures comfort even when seated in the middle of the second row.

The driver’s dashboard and the vertical center display are seamlessly connected, significantly enhancing visibility for the driver. There is a compartment beneath the center display where small bags or personal belongings can be placed.

Of the vehicle’s total weight (1,842 kg), 24% (448 kg) is made from recycled materials. Renault’s attention to detail is evident as recyclable materials are incorporated in the seats, dashboard, ceiling, and more to reduce carbon footprint in the Scenic E-TECH.

A standout feature of the Scenic E-TECH is its Solar Bay Roof, which can be opened either from the front to back or back to front, providing an open and airy feel.

The Scenic E-TECH is equipped with a long-range 87 kWh battery, offering a maximum output of 220 horsepower and a peak torque of 30.6 kg.m, allowing for a maximum range of up to 625 km based on WLTP standards.
