Mercedes-Benz Korea is launching the performance model of the mid-size SUV ‘GLC’, the all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC.

The all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC combines a sportier and more dynamic exterior design with powerful AMG driving performance, providing a strong presence and excellent driving sensations in everyday use. With an expanded body compared to the previous generation, a more powerful engine and a 48V mild hybrid system, it offers enhanced driving performance along with upgraded safety and comfort features, setting a new standard for performance SUVs.

The all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC is available in two variants: the SUV model, the fully remodeled third generation ‘All-New Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC’, and the coupe-style SUV model, the fully remodeled second generation ‘All-New Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe’. The price for the SUV model, which will be delivered starting this month, is 99.6 million KRW; the price for the coupe-style SUV model will be announced at its May launch.

The all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC and the GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe feature the AMG 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine (M139) and the AMG Speedshift MCT 9-speed transmission, delivering maximum output of 421 ps and peak torque of 51 kgf·m.

In particular, the M139 engine is equipped with an electronically controlled turbocharger inspired by technology from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1™ team. This allows for maximum power delivery even at low speeds and enables dynamic yet efficient driving.

Additionally, a mild hybrid system combined with a 48V electric system is implemented, showcasing both powerful and efficient performance. The mild hybrid system supports additional electric motor output of up to 14 ps (10 kW) to the internal combustion engine, aiding in rapid and smooth engine starts.

As a result, the output of the all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC SUV and Coupe has increased by 31 horsepower compared to the previous generation, achieving a remarkable acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.

Moreover, the AMG Ride Control suspension allows for three damping settings to be adjusted according to the driving mode and road conditions, enhancing driving pleasure and stability, while the rear axle steering supports up to 2.5° rear steering angle, aiding in nimble handling and convenient parking. Additionally, the AMG Performance Sound system enables drivers to select between sporty sound effects or sounds reminiscent of motorsport at the touch of a button.

With a larger body and AMG’s characteristic sporty specifications applied to both exterior and interior design,

the all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC SUV features an extended body length and wheelbase that have increased by 80mm and 15mm, respectively, providing a more powerful presence and spacious interior.

Alongside this, AMG design elements have been integrated into both the exterior and interior, resulting in a dynamic and sophisticated appearance.

Highlighted by a vertical-styled AMG-exclusive radiator grille, the exterior boasts features such as ▲ chrome AMG front apron, ▲ rear apron with AMG performance look diffuser, ▲ twin tailpipe trims, ▲ 20-inch AMG 10-spoke lightweight alloy wheels, ▲ AMG wheel arches that coordinate with the vehicle’s color, ▲ AMG exclusive brake system, and ▲ AMG spoiler lip, all contributing to an intense and sporty impression.

The all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe, which shares the same exterior specifications, has also seen an increase in length and wheelbase by 40mm and 15mm, respectively, achieving a silhouette that flows with the dynamic nature of an SUV combined with the elegance of a coupe.

Its interior features standard inclusions like ▲ black AMG leather upholstery, ▲ metal structure trim presenting refined sportiness, along with an AMG performance steering wheel made of nappa leather and AMG floor mats showcasing the unique AMG vibe.
