LG Uplus is enhancing the partnership benefits of its roaming product, ‘Roaming Pass’, which has increased data usage and available periods. The plan aims to provide various benefits throughout the entire journey from the airport to the travel destination, innovating the customer experience.

The ‘Roaming Pass’ introduced by LG Uplus earlier this month is a roaming product designed to allow users to freely use data anywhere in the world at reasonable prices. Customers can choose one of the options: 3GB (29,000 KRW), 8GB (44,000 KRW), 13GB (59,000 KRW), and 25GB (79,000 KRW) for 30 days. Users can receive voice calls without extra charges and can continue using data at a maximum speed of 400kbps* without data blocking even after consuming the basic allowance. An additional 1GB of data is offered to customers who subscribe online.

The newly added partnership benefits for the Roaming Pass include three types of partnerships available at the airport and two types of partnerships usable at travel destinations.

Firstly, the airport partnership benefits include ▲12% and 40% discounts for K Airport Limousine and airport lounges respectively ▲50% preferential exchange fee for US dollars, yen, and euros at KB Kookmin Bank Incheon Airport ▲up to 155,000 KRW discount at Shilla Duty Free.

The travel destination partnership benefits are ▲50% discount on the luggage storage and delivery service ‘Goodlugg’ ▲up to 10% discount on the global travel e-commerce platform ‘KKday’. ‘Goodlugg’ is a 24-hour service operating in over 100 cities across Europe and the Americas, offering secure luggage storage or same-day luggage delivery from hotels to the airport. KKday offers more than 300,000 local tour products across 92 countries and 550 cities worldwide.

Meanwhile, LG Uplus continues to provide roaming benefits for 5G plan customers that have been available since earlier this month. Customers using plans of 95,000 KRW or more will receive double the basic data allowance for the Roaming Pass until the end of September, while customers using plans of 75,000 KRW or more can use unlimited data at a daily cap of 5,500 KRW without subscribing to a separate roaming product, at a maximum speed of 400kbps.

Im Hye-kyung, the head of LG Uplus’s rates/partnership products, stated, “We have increased the data capacity and available period so that customers can prioritize roaming over local SIM services when traveling abroad,” adding, “In addition to offering communication benefits that can be used conveniently abroad like domestic services, we will establish differentiated customer value by providing partnership benefits that customers need the most.”
