‘KG The New Torress’

KG Mobility announced on the 8th that it will launch the ‘All-New Torress’, featuring a new interior and the latest convenience features applicable to the authentic SUV Torress brand.

The Torress, which was launched in July 2022 with a robust and modern authentic SUV style concept, has surpassed cumulative sales of 50,000 units in the shortest period since release, creating a sensation in the SUV market. The lineup has been expanded to include bi-fuel LPG and VAN models, as well as the future-oriented electric vehicle Torress EVX, providing diverse experiences tailored to various customer lifestyles.

The newly introduced ‘All-New Torress’ reflects customer preferences by incorporating highly sought-after specifications, equipped with necessary convenience and safety features for everyday driving, and showcases a modernized interior design.

The interior space of the ‘All-New Torress’ boasts a completely new interior through comprehensive changes, applying an ergonomic design based on Slim & Wide.

Starting from the entry model T5, the ‘All-New Torress’ features a 12.3-inch panoramic display that intuitively provides various driving information to the driver. The floating-type new design center console enhances openness with the passenger seat while increasing storage efficiency. Additionally, it comes standard with a toggle switch-type electronic transmission system, USB Type C ports (two in the front, two in the rear), and upgraded driver drowsiness warning (DDAW) system, significantly enhancing safety and convenience.

The high-luxury model T7, fortified with premium features, includes digital key (NFC card type), passenger seat walk-in device, hanger-type headrest, wireless phone charger, and intelligent speed limit assistance (ISA) as standard features, along with the option of a 3D around view monitoring system.

The T7 model also offers a new customizing off-road package that features an exterior image and driving capability suited to the authentic SUV concept, including options like 18-inch all-terrain tires, inch-up springs, wheel arch and door garnishes, and red aluminum caliper covers to enhance driving performance.

A Black Edition model is also available, showcasing a powerful design with differentiated colors and design elements. The Black Edition emphasizes luxury with features like 20-inch diamond-cut black wheels, black C-pillar garnishes, and front and rear black skid plates themed in black.

The ‘All-New Torress’ has also added new colors for its interior and exterior. In addition to the new Latte Gray color, six monotone colors including Grand White, Iron Metal, Forest Green, Dandy Blue, and Space Black will be offered along with four two-tone options excluding Dandy Blue and Space Black. The interior implements a gray two-tone design reflecting the Torress EVX for an even more luxurious look.

KGM will simultaneously unveil derivative models such as the ‘All-New Torress VAN’ and ‘Bi-Fuel LPG’.

The ‘All-New Torress Bi-Fuel LPG’ combines the engine’s performance of gasoline with economical LPG for fuel savings over long distances, capable of exceeding 1,000 km on a single refueling and charge. Meanwhile, the ‘All-New Torress VAN’ optimizes trunk space, making it a two-seater SUV suitable for outdoor activities, offering a maximum cargo capacity of 1,462 liters and a maximum load of 300 kg, providing excellent space utilization.

Despite significant upgrades in product quality due to the complete redesign of the interior and the application of advanced convenience features, the sales prices for the ‘All-New Torress’ are relatively modestly increased, with the T5 priced at 28.38 million won, T7 at 32.29 million won, and Black Edition at 35.50 million won, marking an increase of 410,000 to 550,000 won between models.

The ‘All-New Torress Bi-Fuel LPG’ is priced at TL5 31.68 million won and TL7 35.59 million won. The ‘All-New Torress VAN’, classified as a small cargo vehicle, is eligible for various tax benefits, including a 10% VAT refund for businesses, exemption from educational taxes, and an annual vehicle tax of 28,500 won, retailing at TV5 26.66 million won and TV7 30.42 million won.

A KGM representative indicated, “The new ‘All-New Torress’ has its interior design and premium convenience features updated to near-new levels, while minimizing the increase in price. Given the Torress’s popularity in the SUV market previously, we expect customers with various lifestyles to drive more comfortably and safely, igniting a fresh breeze once again.”
