On the 27th, Renault Korea held the ‘2024 Supplier Conference’ at its Busan plant, attended by over 150 representatives from partner companies, where they introduced the ‘New Renault Koleos’ and presented awards to outstanding suppliers.

To ensure continuous mutual growth with its parts suppliers, Renault Korea has been hosting this annual conference to share key business strategies and seek ways to enhance competitiveness.

The conference also included a segment introducing the New Renault Koleos, which was first unveiled at the ‘2024 Busan Mobility Show’. The Koleos is a new mid-size SUV from Renault Korea, born from the excellent production know-how and quality competitiveness of the Busan plant and its suppliers, based on Renault’s DNA of being ‘the car that accompanies you every day.’

During the conference, the ‘Supplier of the Year’ awards ceremony took place, recognizing three outstanding suppliers for their excellent performance during the development and production process of the Koleos. The award for parts excellence went to ‘SPIEL’, the quality award to ‘Dongshin Motec’, and the research and development (R&D) award to ‘Kumho Tire.’

Stephan De Bleize, President of Renault Korea, stated, “We are working diligently with our outstanding suppliers to ensure that we can deliver the highest quality Renault Koleos to our customers. We will continue to establish related programs to achieve mutual growth with our partners at the Busan plant.”

Meanwhile, the Busan plant of Renault Korea boasts the highest level of production quality among Renault Group’s factories worldwide. The Busan plant is designated as one of five global hubs to target global markets outside Europe under Renault’s International Game Plan strategy and will produce high-end mid-size and large vehicles, including the Koleos.
