Kia has announced the upcoming release of the new K8, which embodies a future-oriented image.
On the 29th (Monday), Kia unveiled teaser images and videos of ‘The New K8’.
The New K8 is an upgraded model of the K8 that Kia is presenting after three years.
The K8, launched by Kia in April 2021, was the first model to showcase Kia’s new direction. With its innovative design, stable driving performance, and advanced driver assistance systems, it has garnered love from customers, recording over 130,000 units sold in the domestic market as of June.
Through the teaser images released that day, Kia partially revealed the vehicle’s appearance focused on the lighting applied to the front and rear.
Particularly at the front, the daytime running lights (DRL) reflect Kia’s new family look, ‘Star Map Signature Lighting’, and the center positioning lamp that runs across the top of the bumper visually connects to create a more refined and luxurious feel.
The teaser video released on this day on Kia’s official YouTube channel, KiaTV (www.youtube.com/@KiaKorea), captures the transformation of a night sky star shape into vertical headlights, elegantly embodying the new design language of the New K8.
Kia plans to disclose further details, including the design, specifications, and price of the New K8, which has improved product capabilities, in August ahead of its launch.
