LG Uplus’s communication rate platform ‘Nugget’ has joined forces with Korean Air to offer differentiated benefits to customers enrolled in 5G plans. Through this agreement, it plans to provide Korean Air gift cards to subscribers of Nugget’s 5G plans.

‘Nugget’ is a prepaid rate-based communication platform that offers customers a highly personalized communication experience. It features 18 types of 5G plans, starting from the most affordable plan in the country at 26,000 won per month for 6GB of data in the ‘Nugget 5G 26’ plan.

To provide exclusive benefits to Nugget 5G plan subscribers, LG Uplus has signed a business agreement with Korean Air for offering ‘Nugget Premium Airline Benefits.’ Customers enrolled in the ‘Nugget 5G 59’ plan, which offers unlimited 5G data for 59,000 won per month, can choose ‘Korean Air gift cards’ as one of their perks. Customers who select the gift card will receive it every month.

The gift cards can be used for purchasing domestic and international flight tickets departing from Korea, as well as for additional services like excess baggage, paid seating, and pet transport. The scope of usage will be expanded in the future.

Moving forward, LG Uplus plans to continue collaborating with Korean Air to provide differentiated customer experiences to the MZ generation, which is a primary target for Nugget. Discussions will also continue on ways to offer a broader range of benefits.

Jung Hyun-joo, Head of the Infinity Star Center at LG Uplus (Executive Director), stated, “Recognizing the growing number of 2030 generation travelers abroad, we partnered with Korean Air to provide necessary benefits to our customers. We will strive to offer Nugget users a new communication experience with various benefits.”

Jeong Byeong-seop, Executive Director of Korean Air, remarked, “This collaboration is meaningful as the key demand demographic in the online gift certificate market matches with Nugget’s main customer base. We will work to make Korean Air more approachable to the 2030 generation.”
