‘Hyundai Grandeur Hybrid’

In August, the sales volume for six domestic car brands amounted to 105,679 units, reflecting a slight 4% decrease compared to 110,152 units the previous month. This dip can be attributed to reduced production days caused by the summer holidays. Following the best-selling model Spotlight on the Sorento, the Sonata has emerged as this month’s best model, while other brands, excluding Hyundai, saw declines.

Hyundai Motor Company recorded a total of 47,764 units sold, which is a 5.4% increase from the previous month’s 45,306 units. The Sonata sold 6,317 units (including 3,122 taxis), up 14.2% from 5,532 units (including 2,425 taxis) last month. The Grandeur saw sales of 6,187 units, slightly down 1.6% from 6,287 units sold the prior month. Santa Fe registered 5,715 units, representing an 8.9% increase from 5,248 units in the previous month.

Genesis recorded sales of 10,323 units, a decrease of 3.6% from the previous month’s 10,703 units. The GV70 saw sales of 3,879 units, a slight 1% increase from 3,839 units in the previous month. The G80 sold 3,488 units, marking an 11% rise compared to the previous month’s 3,143 units. However, the GV80 saw its numbers drop to 2,161 units, down 23.8% from 2,837 units last month.

‘Kia Carnival’

Kia recorded 40,685 units sold, which is a decrease of 12% from the previous month’s 46,238 units. The Sportage saw 5,988 units, down 4% from 6,235 units in the prior month. The Seltos slightly increased to 5,551 units from 5,489 units last month. The Carnival experienced a significant drop, with 5,534 units sold, down 21.5% from 7,050 units in the previous month.

KG Mobility sold 3,943 units, a decline of 6.9% from the previous month’s 4,237 units. The Rexton Sports recorded sales of 1,049 units, down 12.1% from 1,193 units last month. The Torres saw sales fall to 915 units, a 30% decrease from 1,310 units the month prior. The Actyon had a fresh start with 780 units sold in the final week of August.

General Motors recorded 1,614 units sold, reflecting a 26.6% drop from the previous month’s 2,199 units. The Trax crossover saw a sales figure of 1,145 units, down 28.7% from 1,606 units last month. The Trailblazer recorded 264 units, which is a 24.6% decrease from 350 units in the previous month.

Renault registered 1,350 units sold, an 8.1% decline from the previous month’s 1,469 units. The QM6 had sales of 672 units, down 8.9% from 738 units last month. The Arkana recorded 579 units sold, a 14.9% decrease from 680 units last month.
