‘IVECO Korea has signed a business agreement with Korean Polytech University Incheon Campus and Dong-eui University for industry-academic collaboration.’

IVECO Korea has signed a business agreement with Korean Polytech University Incheon Campus and Dong-eui University to cultivate talent in commercial vehicle maintenance technology.

As a responsible corporate citizen, the IVECO Group prioritizes education support for the next generation as part of its strategy for a sustainable future. Accordingly, the group’s flagship brand, IVECO, is exploring various ways to positively impact the overall market and local communities in the countries it operates in.

This industry-academic collaboration marks a significant change as IVECO Korea celebrates the 10th anniversary of its branch establishment, demonstrating its commitment to further contribute to the growth of the domestic commercial vehicle industry. It aims to meet changing customer demands more proactively and enhance service quality through securing talented personnel, ultimately fostering solid growth within the local commercial vehicle market.

IVECO Korea has chosen universities in Incheon and Busan, two regions with a high population of commercial vehicle operators, as collaborative institutions due to the high demand for skilled maintenance personnel. It will actively collaborate on the development of a curriculum covering both theoretical and practical aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance. The curriculum will consist of online and offline courses, focusing on core technologies in commercial vehicle maintenance, including engines, exhaust systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic brakes. The two universities plan to conduct high-level classes using specialized materials provided by IVECO Korea and the corporate headquarters. Outstanding students who complete the course will be awarded IVECO scholarships and offered opportunities to work within the IVECO Korea dealer network.

CEO Jeong-sik Choi of IVECO Korea stated, “The global commercial vehicle brand IVECO leads the transformation of the future transportation industry through intelligent and sustainable transport solutions while continuing to support the development of the domestic commercial vehicle market. Through this business agreement, we aim to create job opportunities for students and expand the network of commercial vehicle maintenance experts, contributing to the growth of the related industry.”
