On the 2nd, Hyundai announced that the Ioniq 5 N has been selected as the first all-electric official vehicle of the Fuji Speedway in Japan.
Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Fuji Speedway is a circuit that can host international motorsport events such as F1. It features a length of 4.56km with 16 corners.
The Ioniq 5 N, designated as the official vehicle of the circuit, will be used as a lead vehicle from August 1st this year until July 31, 2025. Additionally, it is planned to be utilized for various purposes such as leading events hosted by Fuji Speedway and as a racing taxi for circuit visitors.
The Ioniq 5 N is Hyundai’s first electric model under its high-performance brand N, which began sales in the Japanese market in June 2024.
A representative from Fuji Speedway stated, “With the Ioniq 5 N selected as the official vehicle, more people will be able to experience the driving performance of EVs.”
CEO Cho Won-sang expressed, “We hope that customers visiting Fuji Speedway and motorsport fans in Japan can feel the charm of Hyundai’s high-performance brand N and the Ioniq 5 N. We will strive to provide the joy of driving and help Japanese customers become more familiar with EV vehicles through the Ioniq 5 N.”
