Audi Korea has announced the launch of the 2024 model year Audi A6, a premium mid-size sedan.
The Audi A6 is not only a best-selling model but also showcases the essence of the Audi brand. The newly launched 2024 model features enhancements in design including a new singleframe grille, luxurious inlays, and leather materials as standard, along with added convenience features for drivers. The 2024 Audi A6 will be available in 40 TDI and 45 TFSI base models, as well as Premium and Quattro Premium trims, providing customers with a wide range of options.
The base and premium trims of the Audi A6 40 TDI feature a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder diesel direct injection turbocharged (TDI) engine paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission (dual-clutch). The system produces 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 40.79 kg.m. The top speed is limited to 246 km/h, and both trims accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Fuel economy for both trims is rated at a combined figure of 15.0 km/l (urban 13.7 km/l, highway 17.0 km/l).
Similarly, the base, premium, and Quattro premium trims of the Audi A6 45 TFSI come equipped with a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder gasoline direct injection turbocharged (TFSI) engine and a 7-speed S tronic transmission, producing an impressive 265 horsepower and a maximum torque of 37.7 kg.m. The top speed is capped at 210 km/h, with the base and premium trims accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the Quattro premium achieves it in just 6.0 seconds. The fuel economy for the base and premium trims is rated at 11.0 km/l (urban 9.7 km/l, highway 13.1 km/l), whereas the Quattro premium receives a slightly lower rating of 10.7 km/l (urban 9.5 km/l, highway 12.8 km/l).
The exterior of the Audi A6 features a newly designed singleframe grille and S line exterior package, giving the front bumper, rear bumper, diffuser, and front grill a more dynamic and sporty charm that complements the sleek and elegant body design. Both the Audi A6 40 TDI and 45 TFSI Premium and Quattro Premium trims boast refined and elegant designs in their front and rear bumpers, side skirts, while chrome moldings complete the grille, window, and rear garnish.
Inside, the Audi A6 provides roomy front and rear seating with ample headroom to create a comfortable and pleasant environment for both the driver and passengers. The interiors of the 2024 Audi A6 40 TDI and 45 TFSI Premium and Quattro Premium models feature natural linear birch inlays and black headlining that harmoniously match the Valcona leather comfort seats, creating a cozy atmosphere.
Additionally, the base trims of the Audi A6 40 TDI and 45 TFSI are equipped with matrix LED headlights, while the premium and Quattro premium models feature ‘HD matrix LED headlights’ that offer higher brightness and wider visibility through densely arranged beams, further emphasizing Audi’s progressive design and sophistication. The LED taillights with dynamic turn signals also adjust the brightness of the light for enhanced visibility and safety.
The Audi A6 also stands out with diverse safety and convenience systems that reflect Audi’s technological prowess. All models of the Audi A6 are equipped with two rear-mounted radar sensors that detect rapidly approaching objects or vehicles in blind spots. In such cases, the side mirror and door LED lights will flash, and the doors will be temporarily locked to enhance passenger safety. Furthermore, a head-up display (HUD) is installed on the driver’s windshield, providing easily accessible driving information and navigation direction. The adaptive cruise assist feature alleviates the driver’s burden during long drives and enhances passenger comfort. Other advanced safety features include front and rear parking assist systems, a surround view display, 360° camera, PreSense 360°, crossroad assist, and side assist, all aimed at improving the driver’s convenience and delivering a high-quality driving experience.
Moreover, the Audi A6 boasts a virtual cockpit and a dual touchscreen MMI navigation plus with MMI touch response that allows the driver to control all vehicle information in an integrated and intuitive way. In addition, the system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface for approved smartphones, allowing users to access content effortlessly through the ‘Audi smartphone interface.’ The infotainment system is complemented with voice recognition controls, wireless charging, and Audi’s renowned Audi Music Interface (AMI), while a premium air package ensures a comfortable cabin atmosphere by managing air quality, thus enhancing the driving enjoyment.
The price of the Audi A6 40 TDI starts at 71 million won, while the Audi A6 40 TDI Premium is priced at 78.1 million won. The Audi A6 45 TFSI is set at 72.4 million won, with the Audi A6 45 TFSI Premium at 79.5 million won and the Audi A6 45 TFSI Quattro Premium at 82.5 million won (including VAT).
Audi provides a basic warranty known as ‘Audi Warranty’ for all Audi models sold through official dealers, covering 5 years or up to 150,000 km (whichever comes first). Notably, customers purchasing the 2024 model year vehicles will receive a complimentary maintenance coupon called CSP (Car Service Plus) for 3 years, which includes a total of 6 pickup and delivery services. This service can be booked online or via telephone. Additionally, a variety of notification services have been implemented to enhance customer satisfaction using A/S services, including ‘service reminders’ prior to the expiration of the CSP and Extended Service Package (ESP) and ‘repair progress updates’ regarding the status of their vehicle’s repairs via text messages. Furthermore, Audi aims to minimize the inconvenience of vehicle usage and brand experience through various measures, including the ‘Audi AI chatbot’ available on the official Audi Korea website and the My Audi World app, providing 24/7 consultation.
