Maserati will participate in the ‘2024 Monterey Car Week’, unveiling the MC20-based super sports car for the first time in the world.
Monterey Car Week is an automotive festival held in Monterey, California, from the 9th to the 18th of August (local time) featuring a range of events related to classic cars, luxury vehicles, and motorsports.
At this event, Maserati will showcase their key lineup that drives the brand, including the ‘MC12 Special Edition’ that embodies their racing heritage, and they will present the new MC20-based vehicle that is sure to capture the attention of car enthusiasts.
Maserati will globally unveil the new MC20-based super sports car on the 16th at the representative event of Monterey Car Week, ‘The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering’. This model, designed, developed, and produced 100% in Italy, boasts cutting-edge technology and the brand’s unique dynamism, inheriting the spirit of racing while providing driving pleasure. It also offers various customization options that combine the typical details of a racing car with the comfort of a road car, showcasing a unique aesthetic.
The ambitious Maserati offering can also be seen at ‘Concours d’Elegance’ on the 18th, which is the highlight of Monterey Car Week.
At The Quail, the MC20 Special Edition, set for launch in the North American market, along with the MC20 Icona, will also be presented. The MC20 Icona is limited to just 20 units worldwide and features a livery inspired by the ‘MC12 Stradale’. The exterior is adorned in Bianco Audace Matte and Blu Stradale colors, with the Maserati’s bespoke program ‘Fuoriserie’ logo on the rear wheels and the Italian flag logo at the bottom of the doors, emphasizing brand identity.
Also on display at The Quail is the ‘MCXtrema’, known as Maserati’s racing ‘beast’, which will have its first customer delivery at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey on the 17th. To add meaning, Maserati’s chief test driver Andrea Bertolini will personally race the MCXtrema on the circuit and deliver the vehicle to the customer.
During Monterey Car Week, the ‘House of Maserati’, which serves as Maserati’s headquarters, will showcase the first-ever MC20 Coupe, ‘MC20 Tributo Modenese’, created to honor Maserati’s roots in Modena and commemorate Monterey Car Week.
Additionally, various latest models such as the ‘MC12’ Special Edition, GranTurismo Folgore, GranCabrio Folgore, Grecale Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20 Cielo will be on display. There will also be a private open-air driving program allowing participants to experience the outstanding performance of GranCabrio Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20 Cielo firsthand.
