The taxi hailing platform Uber is partnering with KB Kookmin Card to run a promotional campaign for users traveling abroad during the summer holiday season, valid until October 31.

Through this promotion, both companies will offer various benefits exclusively for holders of KB Kookmin Master Credit and Debit Cards (excluding KB Kookmin corporate, BC, and Maestro cards).

Firstly, during the promotional period, all users who make payment of $10 or more at overseas online and offline merchants using KB Mastercard will receive three discount coupons worth 5,000 KRW each for Uber taxi rides in Korea. Users who meet the conditions will receive a promotional code via a separate text message.

Additionally, a sweepstakes event will be held for customers using the Uber or Uber Eats apps overseas. Customers who spend $40 or more using the KB Mastercard on the Uber or Uber Eats app during the period and complete the raffle on the KB Kookmin Card event page will receive a gift card for one Tall size iced Americano from Starbucks, and customers spending $80 or more will receive a gift card for two Tall size drinks.

An official from Uber taxi stated, “You can experience convenient and safe travel anywhere with just the Uber app and we hope that more customers will experience Uber taxi’s differentiated services through this collaboration with KB Kookmin Card during the travel season. We will continue to strive to provide even more diverse benefits in the future.”

Meanwhile, Uber taxi offers a variety of consumer-centric promotions such as first-ride discounts and friend invitation discounts, providing users with extensive benefits. Additionally, in Korea, it provides taxi-hailing services and through the global mobility platform Uber app, customized hailing services abroad, supporting users’ travel from airport pickups to local commutes within a single app.
