‘TemeraRio Front’

Lamborghini unveiled the TemeraRio, the successor to the Huracan, for the first time in the world on August 16, during the Monterey Car Week 2024 in California. The TemeraRio is the second HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) plug-in hybrid super sports car following the Revuelto and is Lamborghini’s third high-performance plug-in hybrid model after the Revuelto and Urus SE.

The TemeraRio features a powerful hybrid powertrain that combines a new 4.0L V8 twin-turbo gasoline engine with three electric motors, achieving a combined output of 920 hp (CV). With excellent aerodynamics and a more spacious interior, it sets another landmark in Lamborghini’s design aspect.

Moreover, it introduces the most advanced multimedia system in the brand’s history, the Lamborghini Vision Unit System (LAVU), providing various new features and applications to recreate and share the highest level of driving experience.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, described the TemeraRio as a “truly special and innovative model that stands out in both technology and style, a genuine ‘fuoriclasse’ (champion).”

The TemeraRio achieves a combined output of 920 hp (676 kW) and a maximum torque of 74.4 kg·m (730 Nm) through the combination of an 800 hp 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine and three electric motors. The focus has been placed on the coordination strategy between the internal combustion engine and electric motors to maximize combined output.

It takes only 2.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, reaching a maximum speed of 340 km/h. Each of the three electric motors delivers 147.5 hp (CV), playing a crucial role in the powertrain. The system supports front-wheel drive and ensures excellent performance and efficiency through the harmony between the electric drive system and internal combustion engine.

The engine sound of the TemeraRio provides the unique emotional driving experience characteristic of Lamborghini. The unique vibrations delivered to the chassis through the flat-plane crankshaft create a special experience that encompasses all senses.

The Lamborghini TemeraRio completes the image of a futuristic HPEV super sports car with its intuitive and aerodynamically designed exterior. The exterior showcases Lamborghini’s trademark sportiness and muscularity with its new hexagonal daytime running lights and shark nose design. The interior utilizes premium materials, including carbon fiber, offering both luxury and functionality. The aircraft-inspired steering wheel and the latest digital interfaces provide a user-friendly experience that allows the driver to be perfectly one with the vehicle.

With the Ad Personam program offering a variety of customization options, customers can have a vehicle that suits their taste. The lightweight package, Alleggerita, reduces the vehicle’s weight by over 25 kg, achieving greater downforce and efficiency. This package includes elements and carbon wheels, ensuring optimal performance even during track driving. The improved rear downforce from new design elements enhances stability.

The TemeraRio boasts Lamborghini’s most advanced multimedia system. With a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, an 8.4-inch main display, a 9.1-inch passenger display, wireless map updates, smartphone connectivity, navigation system, and more, it provides the best experience for daily driving and track performance. Additionally, it combines new driving modes with the hybrid system to deliver optimal performance anytime and anywhere. The Lamborghini Vision Unit (LAVU) system enhances the ability to record and analyze driving data with three cameras and dedicated control units, helping the driver maximize their performance.

With the launch of the TemeraRio, Lamborghini has reduced exhaust emissions by 50% compared to the previous Huracan model. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, stated, “Every new model from Lamborghini must exceed the performance of its predecessors while maintaining sustainable carbon emissions. With the debut of the TemeraRio, Lamborghini has again achieved a significant milestone in its electrification strategy, ‘Direzione Cor Tauri,’ becoming the first luxury automotive brand to establish a complete hybrid lineup.”
