Kia announced on Tuesday (2nd) that it has revamped its exhibition booth located near Area H of the departure hall on the 3rd floor of Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 1 into an interactive content experience.
The Kia ‘Interactive Exhibit Booth’ at Incheon Airport now allows visitors to climb into vehicles, maximizing openness and enabling them to freely experience the Kia brand and its products following the vehicle display in 2021 with this renewal.
Currently, the exhibit features Kia’s flagship SUV EV9 based on the E-GMP platform, with plans to continuously rotate displayed vehicles to match new car launches, making it easier for visitors to experience Kia’s EV lineup and innovative mobility technology.
The exhibit booth has been designed by the renowned architecture firm Suh Architects to reflect Kia’s brand identity. The exhibition concept, titled “Movement to Inspiration,” encourages travelers to take inspiration as they embark on their journeys.
The booth’s walls are designed with a double-skin structure, combining finely perforated super mirrors and LED screens. This unique structure allows visitors to experience an extraordinary moment as they look at an ordinary mirror, only to have a video suddenly stream from behind it.
Each side of the super mirror is arranged in a triangular shape, reflecting the space from various angles to create a more expanded exhibit space and unique visual effects. The LED screen hidden behind the super mirror showcases dynamic artwork, drawing spectators’ attention through the intricately perforated sections. The artwork expresses the abstract movements of nature, creating a scene where the vehicle seems to run through the space, providing deep immersion for the viewers.
A Kia representative stated, “As a customer-centric brand, Kia is making various efforts to offer people inspiration and touch through movement. We hope that the first steps of traveling customers are filled with the rich inspiration provided by Kia’s exhibition booth and artwork.”
Moreover, the ‘Kia Interactive Exhibit Booth’ is staffed by professional docents who are fluent in two languages (Korean/English) from 9 AM to 9 PM, providing customer interactions about vehicle information, brand, and booth design. Additionally, responses to customer test drive requests and purchase inquiries can be handled on-site immediately.
