TMAP Mobility has announced its collaboration with the first-ever virtual artist, APOKI, to promote the TMAP public transport service on the 8th.

APOKI is a virtual artist signed under VV Entertainment, boasting around 5 million followers across various platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Since debuting in 2019, APOKI has carved out a new genre in ‘Virtual Entertainment’ through continuous music releases and is expanding its fandom worldwide, including in Japan and North America.

The first collaboration between TMAP Mobility and APOKI is to promote the ‘TMAP Public Transportation Arrival Alert’ service. This feature is introduced as the first of its kind in the domestic mobility industry, and the service will resume today after being revamped since TMAP was integrated into the TMAP public transportation app.

To use this feature, users simply need to search for a public transportation route on TMAP and select ‘Arrival Alert.’ The service provides real-time information for boarding, transferring, and alighting, sending alerts starting two stops before the intended location. Notably, users can check their current location, remaining time, and travel details on their phone’s lock screen, making it easy to use while on the move.

TMAP’s public transportation arrival alert service is provided exclusively for urban routes, excluding intercity bus, air, and train services. Android users can quickly view the entire subway and bus routes, while iOS users will initially get bus routes, with subway routes expected to expand later this year.

TMAP Mobility plans to release a video and promotional materials featuring APOKI on its official channels, including blogs, Instagram, and YouTube. To facilitate easier public transport use, TMAP provides access to a nationwide subway map, allowing users to check detailed information by station and retrieve subway routes.

Shin Jang-yong, TMAP Mobility’s BIG (Brand Innovation & Growth) leader, stated, “We are making various efforts to introduce TMAP Mobility’s diverse services in a friendly manner,” and added, “Starting with the TMAP public transportation service, we plan to expand our collaboration with APOKI across various services in the second half of this year.”
