TMAP verified hidden culinary delights from each region are being transformed into products available at EMart24.

On the 29th, TMAP Mobility and EMart24 announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for data-driven regional culinary product development and marketing cooperation.

The two companies intend to actively start developing various collaborative products through this agreement. TMAP Mobility will utilize driving data from its 22 million subscribers to discover local hidden gems favored by people, and based on this, EMart24 plans to create and provide culinary products that all consumers can easily access. The first product is expected to be unveiled this August, featuring the city of Gangneung.

The data held by TMAP Mobility comprises actual driving data of drivers who set restaurants and cafes as their destinations, which is highly reliable as it avoids artificial reviews or abuse. For instance, the ‘T-Now’ service, which displays this information in real time, allows consumers to identify popular places for their desired purposes faster and more accurately than social media, gaining significant traction with a cumulative user base exceeding 17 million as of last month.

The two companies expect this collaboration will also help revitalize the local economy. Beyond merely launching products, they plan to leverage their platforms and hubs to promote the charm of the region and encourage visits, thus developing it into a positive catalyst.

Jeong-ho Lee, CEO of TMAP Mobility, stated, “By combining each other’s strengths and capabilities, we anticipate providing users with a differentiated experience” and added, “Moving forward, TMAP Mobility will continue to enhance location-based data and undertake various initiatives based on diverse data to enhance citizens’ quality of life and provide assistance.”
