LG Uplus’s digital communication platform ‘Nerget’ has completely revamped its telecommunications service to provide a differentiated customer experience. Starting with a plan offering 6GB of data for just 26,000 won, the platform features a diverse lineup of 18 granular plans priced in increments of 1,000 won.
‘Nerget’ is a prepaid plan-based communication platform that delivers hyper-personalized telecommunications experiences to customers. It has generated interest among MZ generation customers with its segmented 5G plans and family and friend bundling discounts called ‘Party Pay’, as well as a dedicated membership service called ‘Exstem’, which offers different benefits each month.
In revamping the Nerget 5G plans as standard offerings, LG Uplus has reduced prices compared to previous promotions while increasing data allowances. The number of plans has expanded from 15 to 18. The new range of plans allows customers to choose freely based on their data usage patterns, with price and data options segmented in increments of 1,000 won.
The cheapest plan now offers 6GB of data for 26,000 won a month, providing enhanced benefits compared to prior promotions (30,000 won a month for 1GB of data). The plan segment showing the most significant increase in data offerings is the 45,000 won range, which previously provided 24GB during promotions but now offers 50GB, a remarkable increase of 26GB.
Youth customers who sign up for Nerget can receive up to an additional 30GB of data. Customers aged 19 to 34 among Nerget subscribers can receive between 3GB to 30GB of extra data based on their selected plan without any separate application.
Alongside the plan revamp, LG Uplus is running a promotion through the end of this year, offering customers who sign up for Nerget plans up to an additional 50GB of data. During the promotional period, new customers can receive an extra 5-50GB of data monthly for 24 months, depending on their selected plan. This additional data can be combined with the youth bonus data.
For example, a young customer using the ‘Nerget 5G 50GB 45’ plan, which costs 45,000 won per month and provides 50GB, could enjoy a total of 130GB per month until they turn 35 by combining 30GB of youth bonus data and 50GB of promotional bonus data each month.
Nerget also offers ‘Party Pay’ to help alleviate the burden of fees by allowing customers to combine plans. Customers with any of the 18 Nerget plans can combine their accounts with up to 4 other Nerget customers and receive discounts of 2,000 or 3,000 won, depending on their selected plan. Customers on the unlimited data plan, ‘Nerget 5G 59’, can receive discounts based on the number of lines combined: 3,500 won for 2 lines, 7,000 won for 3 lines, and 14,000 won for 4 lines per month. Customers who sign up for the ‘Nerget 5G 59’ plan during the promotional period can enjoy a discount of 14,000 won for 12 months by simply combining with 2 lines.
