KG Mobility announced on the 13th that it will strengthen brand experience by opening an experience center that offers a variety of driving experiences.
The experience center provides simultaneous opportunities for test drives and consultations, as well as exhibits featuring a history wall and concept cars, making it a space where visitors can experience diverse driving activities while observing KGM’s brand heritage at a glance.
KGM held an opening ceremony for the ‘Experience Center Ilsan’, the first of its kind, at 9 AM on the same day.
The event was attended by KGM Chairman Kwak Jae-Sun, CEO Park Jang-Ho, Trades Union Chairman Seon Mok-Rae, Domestic Business Headquarters Director Park Kyung-Jun, and Design Center Chief Lee Kang, along with other relevant executives.
Chairman Kwak stated in his address, “Following the establishment of large test drive centers in Gunpo and Daejeon in March, this opening of KGM’s Experience Center expands opportunities for brand communication. I hope it will become a part of generating value globally while enhancing the happiness of our employees and customers,” and added, “In the future, we will actively respond to customer needs through a variety of programs.”
Established in Ilsan, Goyang City, the ‘Experience Center Ilsan’ spans three floors and is filled with content that emphasizes the versatile SUV image, traversing between urban life and leisure while reflecting the natural setting. The digital wall on the exterior features videos encapsulating the brand’s identity, while the digital signage installed in the first-floor showroom presents dynamic driving performances in an immersive video format. The second-floor showroom creates a camping atmosphere in nature, showcasing the dynamic outdoor SUV image.
Additionally, there is a designated space for vehicle delivery ceremonies and a customer lounge, and exhibition spaces are prepared, including the concept car F100 showcased at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, as well as a history wall displaying KGM’s 70-year history and future vision.
To provide a differentiated driving experience, four test drive courses and three test drive programs are also available. A variety of vehicles, including electric SUVs like the Torres EVX, The New Torres, Tivoli, Rexton Summit, and Rexton Sport, are offered, tailored to fit your lifestyle, with new models like the electric pickup O100 being added at their launch times.
The test drive courses include: an urban course primarily focused on city roads around Ilsan Lake Park and major shopping centers; a dynamic course that runs through the First Freeway and Paju Publishing City, allowing breathtaking views of the Han River and surrounding outdoor scenery; an adventure course that traverses roads around Ilsan city, as well as Seosamneung and Wondang Jongma Stud Farm; and an electric vehicle course that allows for driving around city roads and nearby golf courses within Ilsan.
A special test drive program allows free planning of courses matched to personal driving styles. An overnight test drive with a camping and car camping theme offers outdoor experiences for 1 night and 2 days, including support for camping gear setup in the vehicle. A long-distance test drive available for 24 hours suits customers interested in travel or leisure activities, featuring travel-related goods rental service such as vehicle coffee machines and cooler bags. A dedicated kid & pet test drive is equipped with safety seats and convenience items for children or pets, providing a 4-hour driving experience for families.
The ‘Experience Center Ilsan’ operates daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, welcoming anyone wishing to experience the KGM brand. Test drive reservations can be made through the online website or by visiting in person.
Park Kyung-Jun, Head of KGM Domestic Business Division, stated, “We aim to help restore customer confidence by providing free test drives of KGM’s unique SUV model lineup and comfortable customer relaxation spaces, and we will strive to regularly hold various cultural and leisure activities to closely engage with our customers as we aim to become a brand loved for a lifetime.”
The experience center is set to expand from Ilsan to other accessible areas such as Seoul, Busan, and Daegu, and plans to continuously broaden customer experiences through programs linked to major cultural content like campgrounds, establishing itself as a key space for brand experience.
