Encar.com announced on the 21st that it will be rebranding its leading used car trading services into ‘Encar Trust’.
Through the new trading service brand ‘Encar Trust’, Encar.com aims to leap forward as the ‘No. 1 used car super app in Korea’ by providing a variety of services including consultation, payment, delivery, financing, and refunds to facilitate healthy used car transactions between general dealers and customers. Along with this, Encar’s diagnostic service and mobile home screen will also be overhauled to enhance service competitiveness and corporate branding.
Firstly, Encar.com will unify all used car trading services offered by Encar, including ‘Encar Home Service’, under the naming ‘Encar Trust’ for rebranding. The name ‘Encar Trust’ embodies the core value of trust that Encar pursues. This rebranding will initially apply to the used car buying service, with the used car selling service to be reflected in the latter half of this year.
The rebranded used car buying service ‘Encar Trust’ is aimed at cars identified and verified by Encar among the listings from general dealers. When purchasing eligible vehicles, customers can proceed in their preferred manner through Encar, such as ▲ Trustworthy Delivery, ▲ Trustworthy Visit, ▲ Trustworthy Video Consultation, and they will also be provided with a ‘7-Day No-Questions-Asked Refund Policy’ during which they can test drive the vehicle before making a purchase decision. Notably, the introduction of ‘Video Consultation’ allows an Encar Trust manager to explain vehicle information and condition live online, significantly enhancing the convenience for used car buyers.
Encar.com has also newly revamped its used car diagnostic service. The existing check for accident history, options, and ratings will be expanded under the name ‘Encar Diagnostic Plus’.
‘Encar Diagnostic Plus’ will operate as ▲ Encar Diagnostic, ▲ Encar Diagnostic +, ▲ Encar Diagnostic ++. Customers can check the diagnostic scope on the Encar mobile app to explore vehicles.
‘Encar Diagnostic’ indicates vehicles that have verified no accidents, options, and ratings, while ‘Encar Diagnostic +’ adds inspections for exterior scratches, interior condition, or performance checks conducted directly by Encar. ‘Encar Diagnostic ++’ means vehicles that have completed the Encar Diagnostic, detailed inspections, and direct performance checks.
Since 2015, Encar.com has expanded its diagnostic centers nationwide and currently operates more than 55 diagnostic centers, the largest scale in the industry. They are also operating a directly managed performance inspection center.
To ensure easy and convenient access to used car exploration and trading services, the mobile home screen has also been restructured. The main screen is now structured intuitively through optimization of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), incorporating IT technology to provide diverse personalized recommendations for exploring used cars.
On the mobile home, customers will receive recommendations for vehicles that perfectly match their preferences based on an AI analysis of their searches and inquiries. Additionally, they can also receive recommendations for popular vehicles chosen by customers with similar interests. The mobile platform features insights into used car trends, such as ‘Most Viewed Vehicles’ based on region, age, and gender and ‘Trending TOP Models’ that consumers are particularly interested in.
Under the grand goal of becoming the ‘used car super app’, Encar.com plans to dedicate its efforts towards expanding a customer-first used car trading business and advanced systems that promote co-prosperity in the industry.
This aims to provide a trustworthy and convenient environment for customers to buy and sell cars, while also allowing general dealers to seek new trading opportunities. Ultimately, Encar.com’s vision is to firmly establish itself as the largest used car trading platform in Korea, where customers can experience all aspects of automotive life.
