The Ferrari Purosangue has won the prestigious ‘2024 Golden Compass,’ known for its high regard in the field of industrial design. Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s Chief Design Officer, is set to receive the award at the ceremony held in Milan on the 20th.
Initiated in 1954, the Golden Compass is the oldest and most prestigious award in industrial design, presented biannually by the Italian Association for Industrial Design. The award-winning entries are determined through a preliminary selection process by a jury composed of designers, critics, historians, and professional journalists from around the globe. With the Purosangue’s victory, Ferrari has now amassed a total of four awards, following the successes of the F12 Berlinetta in 2014, the FXX K in 2016, and the Monza SP1 in 2020.
The jury praised the Ferrari Purosangue for “surpassing the forms typically presented by traditional Gran Turismo vehicles, merging typological innovation with technology, and showcasing visible progress amid fierce global competition.”
