‘The New EV6 Front’

Kia has announced the launch of the new EV6 with a fresh design.

On the 2nd (Thursday), Kia revealed teaser images of the improved model, ‘The New EV6,’ which showcases the silhouette and front/rear lamp designs of the vehicle, three years after the original EV6 was launched.

Kia applied a new family look called ‘Star Map Signature Lighting’ for the daytime running lights (DRLs) of the New EV6, creating a more dynamic and futuristic feel.

The EV6, which was launched in August 2021, is Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle model based on the Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicle platform, E-GMP.

The EV6 has an eye-catching design and excellent electrification features; it won the prestigious ‘European Car of the Year’ award in 2022, marking the first time a Korean brand achieved this, and followed up with the 2023 ‘North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year’ award in the SUV category.

Additionally, the high-performance version, the EV6 GT, was recognized as the ‘World Performance Car’ at the 2023 World Car Awards, showcasing the EV6’s competitive edge in the global electric vehicle market through numerous awards and accolades, including being one of the top three cars of the year worldwide.

Kia plans to disclose specific product details such as the design and specifications of the improved New EV6 later this month.

A Kia official stated, “Developed on the electric vehicle platform E-GMP, the EV6 continues to receive various awards and recognition globally. Going forward, Kia will strive to meet diverse customer needs through differentiated products and services.”
