BMW Korea will begin pre-orders for the premium compact pure electric SAC model ‘New iX2 eDrive20’ starting May 9, 2024, at 3 PM through the BMW Shop Online (https://shop.bmw.co.kr/).

The New iX2 is BMW’s first pure electric Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), featuring a robust and forward-looking design with a sleek coupe body equipped with an environmentally friendly pure electric powertrain. Additionally, it incorporates BMW’s latest operating system, BMW Operating System 9 (hereafter, BMW OS 9), to provide the best digital experience.

The New iX2 eDrive20 exudes a bold presence with its dynamically shaped adaptive LED headlights and hexagonal BMW kidney grille. The elegantly flowing roofline that extends to the rear showcases the unique style characteristic of BMW SACs.

Equipped with the latest infotainment system, BMW OS 9 allows for intuitive control of vehicle functions through touch interactions. With the BMW Digital Premium feature, a wide array of digital services including air-console games and third-party apps are also available.

The New iX2 eDrive20 comes standard with a Korea-specific BMW navigation system based on TMAP, which reflects the latest maps and traffic information in real-time, guiding drivers with optimal driving routes and charging journeys considering the vehicle’s charging status.

The New iX2 eDrive20 is powered by an electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 204 horsepower and peak torque of 25.5kg·m, paired with a 64.7kWh (Net) lithium-ion battery. It takes 29 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80% with a maximum output of 130kW, and the WLTP range on a single charge is 459km.

The expected price of the New iX2 eDrive20 ranges from 67.5 to 69.9 million won, and it is set to be officially launched in Korea in the second half of this year. Pre-orders can be made through the ‘BMW Shop Online’, and for more detailed information, inquiries can be made to the BMW Communication Center (080-700-8000).

Meanwhile, BMW Korea has recently introduced a ‘Electric Vehicle Savings Cost Calculator’ feature on its online sales channel, BMW Shop Online. After selecting the desired BMW electric vehicle model, users can set the average fuel efficiency and type of internal combustion engine vehicle they wish to compare, and the calculator provides an estimated annual savings cost. Users can easily access the ‘Electric Vehicle Savings Cost Calculator’ by clicking on the blue circular icon in the upper right corner of the BMW Shop Online homepage.

Additionally, ‘Naver Pay’ has been newly implemented as a convenient payment method in the BMW Shop Online, making reservation payments faster and easier (note: bank transfers and point usage/accumulation are not available when using Naver Pay).
