Naver Pay is conducting a promotion where users earn Naver Pay points when using the ‘Mobile Transit Card’ for public transport.

The Naver Pay ‘Mobile Transit Card’ utilizes NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, allowing users to tag their smartphones on public transport terminals to easily pay for bus, subway, and taxi fares using Naver Pay money, with no fees for recharging or refunding the transit card. This service is available on Android smartphones equipped with NFC, and users must issue a Naver Pay exclusive transit card from the ‘Transportation Card’ section on the ‘QR Payment’ page in the latest version of the Naver Pay app upon first use, along with recharging their Naver Pay money.

The recharged money is deducted on a first-in, first-out basis, and any recharge amount not used and refunded within seven days is fully reimbursed. If 80% or more of the recharged amount has been used, the remaining balance can be refunded without any fees.

Naver Pay is running this promotion until May 31, where users can earn Naver Pay points for every use of the Mobile Transit Card on public transport nationwide. Users will earn 100 won in Naver Pay points for each bus or subway ride, and if they have previously used Naver PayXSamsung Pay or become a new user during the event, they will earn double points of 200 won per ride. Points can be accumulated up to four times a day, allowing a maximum of 800 won daily or 10,000 won monthly.

Once users have received their ‘Mobile Transit Card’ from the Naver Pay app, they will automatically participate in the promotion, which offers the same benefits to teenage users. Points will be aggregated based on boarding and alighting records for bus and subway rides up to May 31 on the service page of the Naver Pay ‘Mobile Transit Card’, and the points will be distributed in bulk on June 17 after the promotion ends.

Further details regarding this promotion can be checked by searching for ‘Naver Pay Transit Card’ in the Naver search box.
