‘GMC Sierra participating in the HOG rally’

General Motors participated as an official sponsor in the ’26th Korea National HOG Rally’ held from the 24th to the 26th in Taebaek Stadium area, Gangwon-do, successfully collaborating with brands representing American automobiles and motorcycles.

The HOG Rally is an annual event for members of the Harley Owners Group, which is the world’s largest motorcycle community with over one million members. Since starting in 1999, it has developed into the largest motorcycle festival in Korea, with thousands of Harley-Davidson owners participating each year. This year’s 26th event saw over 2,000 participants and concluded successfully.

GM joined the HOG Rally for the second consecutive year through a collaboration with Harley-Davidson, aiming to expand product experiences for domestic customers. This collaboration materialized with a common denominator of being genuine American brands with heritage spanning centuries, and a shared goal of providing customers with a more diverse range of products and lifestyle experiences.

Yoon Myung-ok, GM Korea’s Chief Marketing Officer and Communications Head, stated, “The HOG Rally, which symbolizes American automobiles and motorcycles with GM and Harley-Davidson collaborating, is a great opportunity to showcase the overwhelming presence and power of GM’s genuine American brand ethos and full-size product lineup to customers. GM will continue to create differentiated marketing activities for target customer segments to enhance customer experiences.”

At the event, GM set up exhibition booths for GMC and Cadillac, conducting on-site marketing activities. The exhibited models included the GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade, with GMC emphasizing an outdoor-themed car picnic lifestyle, while Cadillac designed its booth to evoke images of American metropolis, highlighting its appeal for both off-road and on-road experiences.

Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to experience test drives of the GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade, showcasing the undeniable product excellence and over 120 years of rich heritage found only in genuine American full-size SUVs and pickup trucks, receiving a very positive response from participants. Also, a ‘Power Hammer Event’ was held specifically for on-site consultation customers, offering various prizes and promoting the powerful performance of the GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade.

On a side note, the GMC Sierra, which evolved through five generations since its launch in 1987, is the representative model of GMC and the first full-size pickup truck officially released in Korea. Known for its luxurious materials and advanced convenience and safety features, the Sierra is regarded as the most luxurious pickup truck in the world. The recently released 2024 model comes equipped with essential features such as the ‘Active Variable Exhaust System’ that allows you to enjoy the true sound of the V8 engine and a ‘Smartphone Wireless Charging System,’ enhancing its product excellence. The Cadillac Escalade is the flagship SUV of the Cadillac brand, continuing its legacy through five generations, and is synonymous with luxury full-size SUVs that offer the best ride comfort, performance, materials, and safety for VIPs.
