‘Polestar 4’

Polestar will launch the electric performance SUV coupe, Polestar 4, in Korea this June. Polestar 4 is the second new model to be introduced in the country following the Polestar 2, with plans to deliver vehicles to customers starting in October.

Polestar 4 represents a new dimension of SUV coupe design, combining the sleek style characteristic of coupes, which maximizes aerodynamic performance, with the spatial advantages of an SUV. Positioned between the Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in both size and price, it stands ready to impress.

Ham Jong-seong, CEO of Polestar Korea, stated, “The Polestar 4 embodies excellent product value across various aspects, including design, performance, sustainability, safety, spaciousness, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). We are making efforts to accelerate preparations for certification and related matters, aiming for a June launch and October vehicle deliveries.”

Built on the electric vehicle-exclusive Premium SEA platform (Sustainable Experience Architecture), Polestar 4 features a D-segment SUV coupe design with dimensions of 4,839mm in length, 2,139mm in width, 1,544mm in height, and a generous wheelbase of 2,999mm. The bold design decision to eliminate the rear window, paired with innovative engineering, allows for a smooth coupe silhouette while ensuring ample space in the second row. The vehicle boasts a camera system for excellent rear visibility and introduces dual-blade headlights that reinforce Polestar’s distinctive design identity.

Polestar 4 is the fastest model developed by Polestar to date, utilizing powerful performance with a peak output of 400kW (544 horsepower), enabling it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds (based on the long-range dual-motor variant). Equipped with a 100kWh lithium-ion battery, it aims for a maximum range of 610 km under WLTP standards (for the long-range single motor).

In terms of sustainability, Polestar 4 has an estimated carbon footprint of 19.4 tons of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) during the production process (for the long-range single motor), making it the model with the lowest carbon footprint among Polestar’s mass-produced vehicles.

Additionally, with the launch in June, Polestar 4 can be viewed in person at four nationwide ‘Polestar Spaces’, while exact specifications regarding driving range and battery, as well as pricing, will be announced at the time of launch.
