LG Uplus will exclusively launch the budget-friendly smartphone ‘Galaxy Buddy 3’ for around 300,000 KRW on the 26th.
Prior to the exclusive launch of the U+ dedicated smartphone ‘Galaxy Buddy 3’, LG Uplus will conduct pre-orders from the 19th to the 25th. Pre-orders can be made online at the official site ‘Uplus.com’, with devices being released in phases starting on the 26th.
The Galaxy Buddy series, introduced by LG Uplus in 2021, features U+ specific 5G smartphones. Following the launch of the Galaxy Buddy 2 in June 2022, based on the Galaxy M23 model, the third U+ smartphone ‘Galaxy Buddy 3’ is based on the Galaxy A15 5G model, aimed at the younger 1020 generation. The available colors are Blue Black, Light Blue, and Yellow, with a retail price of 399,300 KRW (including VAT).
Designed with the needs of teenagers who frequently consume media and play games, the Galaxy Buddy 3 boasts a 6.5-inch FHD+ large display, a maximum 50-megapixel triple camera, 128GB of internal storage, 6GB of RAM, and a robust 5,000mAh battery. Features such as the ‘Samsung Pay Recharge Card’ service help develop more responsible spending habits and systematic financial management, while the ‘Samsung Wallet’ offers a student ID function useful for identity verification and library access.
Customers who purchase the Galaxy Buddy 3 can receive their new smartphones on the same day of activation through Uplus.com’s ‘Late Night Delivery’ service. Customers who complete their happy calls (verification calls from consultants) by 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday can receive delivery on the same day until 11:59 PM. For Saturday deliveries, completion of the happy call by 4:30 PM allows delivery until 10 PM that same day.
To celebrate the launch of the Galaxy Buddy 3, LG Uplus is offering rich prizes for customers who pre-order and activate their devices. The first 300 customers will receive a Uplus.com package box that includes a Munro character case, BTS music-themed NFC Smart Talk, and a super-speed charger. Additionally, there will be a lottery for Galaxy Buds FE and a genuine panda case set for 100 winners, along with 50 winners receiving two free tickets to Everland.
There are also manufacturer benefits. Customers who purchase and activate the Galaxy Buddy 3 can enjoy a two-month free trial of YouTube Premium and a six-month free trial of Microsoft 365 Basic.
