Lamborghini Seoul will once again participate in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series alongside driver Lee Chang-woo. On the 25th, a signing ceremony was held at the Lamborghini Seoul showroom to officially announce Lee as a driver for the 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia race.

This year marks the 11th edition of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, the fastest racing tournament on Earth, held across three continents: Europe, North America, and Asia. Participants will compete using the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2, making it a single-make race. After being suspended for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ‘2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Race’ was held in South Korea, thrilling many local Lamborghini and motorsport fans.

Driver Lee Chang-woo, representing SQDA-Grit Motorsports, participated in the entire season of last year’s Super Trofeo while wearing the Taegeuk mark. Despite being a newcomer, he won the first AM class race in Round 4 at Inje Speedium, showcasing his talent and earning enthusiastic support from Korean fans. This year, he will race solo, applying the insights he gained from his debut last year to achieve outstanding results through dedicated training and development.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo race features the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2, equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine that produces a maximum output of 620 horsepower and generates incredible downforce thanks to its exceptional aerodynamic design. In this single-make competition, performance relies on driver skill rather than the car’s attributes, distinguishing it from other races where vehicle performance often dictates outcomes.

Lee Chang-woo is a professional driver who competes in the Super Race GT class, having stood on numerous podiums. Last year, he represented South Korea for the first time on the Super Trofeo stage and finished the season as runner-up. He has been actively involved as a chief instructor in various Lamborghini events, including the Lamborghini Driving Experience conducted in Korea.

Kim Jong-bok, representing Lamborghini Seoul, stated, “With this second challenge alongside Lee Chang-woo, Lamborghini Seoul is ready to showcase incredible talent on the global stage.” He added, “We will continue to share the unique values of Lamborghini Seoul that resonate with not only our customers but also many domestic fans of the Lamborghini brand.”

Meanwhile, the Super Trofeo consists of six rounds, divided by continents, operating in four classes: Pro, Pro-Am, Amateur, and the Lamborghini Cup. After champions from the Asian, European, and North American championships are determined, the Lamborghini Grand Finals will feature the top drivers competing in the ultimate race. The fourth round of the Asian series will take place from July 19 (Friday) to July 21 (Sunday) at Inje Speedium.
