Lotte Auto Care is offering charging and inspection services to all electric vehicle users in celebration of the 2024 Lunar New Year.

This service will operate on February 8th and 9th, from 8 AM to 7 PM, at the entrance of the Cheonan Hodoo Rest Area on the Gyeongbu Expressway (heading towards Busan). Both Lotte Rental customers and general EV users can receive free electric vehicle charging, vehicle inspection, and consumable replacement services. Lotte Auto Care’s certified maintenance staff will provide these services with a mobile maintenance vehicle equipped with a portable charger.

Charging is available for all electric vehicles, including imports. A DC combo adapter will be provided, and a dedicated Tesla charging adapter is also available. Each electric vehicle can receive about 10–20Kwh of charge, which translates to a driving range of 50–100 kilometers depending on the vehicle model. The charging process takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

The free inspection service is available for all domestic vehicle models, covering the following items: △ windshield wiper brush replacement △ air conditioning filter replacement △ washer fluid refill △ tire pressure refill. This service is equivalent to approximately 80,000 KRW.

Lee Kyu-pil, CEO of Lotte Auto Care, stated, “To prevent difficulties in operating vehicles during the winter, we decided to provide maintenance activities along with EV charging, such as washer fluid refills and wiper brush replacements. Established in 2013, Lotte Auto Care is a vehicle management specialist company providing vehicle maintenance services and nationwide mobile maintenance services for vehicles. Since 2022, it has been the first in the industry to offer mobile charging services for electric vehicles. Last September, the ‘Lotte Rent-a-Car Car Maintenance’ service was launched, utilizing vehicle management know-how and infrastructure. The ‘Car Maintenance’ service assigns dedicated maintenance staff to visit customers’ desired locations for vehicle maintenance at a monthly fee of approximately 10,000 KRW, and applications can be made through the Lotte Rent-a-Car website and app.
