Genesis has announced on the 8th that they have selected legendary driver Jacky Ickx from Belgium as their official brand partner.

Jacky Ickx is a monumental figure in motorsport, having competed for over 20 years in various disciplines, including Formula One (F1) and the 24-hour endurance races, achieving a total of 14 victories.

He entered the world of motorsports through the 50cc class of the Mettet Grand Prix motorcycle competition held in Belgium in 1962 and made his Formula One debut in the 1967 Italian Grand Prix. During his F1 career, he recorded 8 wins and 25 podium finishes.

In 1966, he won the Spa 24 Hours endurance race in Belgium as part of a team with Hubert Hahne, marking his entry into endurance racing. He later won the Le Mans 24 Hours race six times, earning the title of ‘Mr. Le Mans.’

Through this partnership, Jacky Ickx will serve as an ambassador for the Genesis brand philosophy while providing various strategic insights for the Genesis brand.

Additionally, he will perform advisory roles and work closely with Luke Donkerwolke, Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Genesis, and the Hyundai Motor Group’s European Technical Center.
