T-Money GO, which has maintained approximately 4 million Monthly Active Users (MAU) since January, has reached a cumulative membership of 10 million, positioning itself as Korea’s ‘Mobility Super App’ leading the ‘Public Transportation-Centered Integrated Mobility Era.’

T-Money announced on the 14th that T-Money GO has achieved a cumulative membership of 10 million, thanks to its unique strategy that significantly reduces transportation costs across public transport, express/intercity buses, taxis, and PM (Personal Mobility) as users engage with the app increasingly. Recently, the expansion into air and car rental services has broadened transportation options, and future plans include offering services for not just ONDA taxi but also other taxi-hailing services. Through this, T-Money GO aims to partner collaboratively with transportation providers like taxi services to continuously improve the quality of its ‘Public Transportation-Centered Integrated Mobility Service.’

The cumulative membership and MAU for T-Money GO have sharply increased. It took just 1 year and 2 months to grow from 5 million members achieved in December 2022. MAU remains around 4 million. Due to policies in Seoul to enhance public transportation, such as the Climate Journey Card, there has been a consistent increase in demand for public transport, and domestic travel has also bounced back, leading to a significant rise in express and intercity bus bookings. Moreover, the convenience to utilize over 150,000 PM services including local government shared bicycles like 40,000 bike-sharing bikes in Seoul and 5,000 in Daejeon, as well as electric scooters and bicycles, contributes to this analysis.

Besides, T-Money GO’s unique ‘Public Transportation-Centered Integrated Mobility Service’ offers benefits such as the ‘T-Money GO Transfer Reward’ (100M reward for each transfer when using public transport with other modes [ONDA taxi/scooter/bicycle/express/intercity], up to 200M per day), ‘Invite Friends Event’ (earn 500M when a friend you invited registers for T-Money GO ONDA taxi), and ‘Daily Attendance Check’ (up to 500M daily, plus additional mileage rewards for achieving monthly attendance). This has made T-Money GO a favorite among thrifty consumers due to significant transportation savings and regularly provided various discount coupons for different modes of transport.

Notably, the Climate Journey Card has enabled users to acquire usage rights for T-Bike (Seoul’s shared bicycle), leading to a more than fourfold increase in users linked to T-Bike within T-Money GO compared to January before the sale. Users can not only continue using the existing T-Bike subscription but also enjoy the subscription discounts and use accumulated O-miles to purchase subscriptions.

To celebrate reaching a cumulative membership of 10 million, T-Money GO will offer various additional benefits. By February 28, a special event ‘Thank You for 10 Million T-Money GO Users!’ will be held for T-Money GO members, where participating in a survey regarding desired new services will enter members into a draw for prizes including ▲30,000 won Shinsegae gift certificates (for 200 people) and ▲Mega Coffee Americano (for 20,000 people).

Jo Dong-wook, Executive Director of T-Money Mobility Division, stated, “I am proud that T-Money GO is at the forefront of mobility service innovation in Korea as a mobility super app with 10 million members.” He added, “As we welcome the upcoming spring, we aim to activate the use of shared bicycles and scooters, taxi calls, and express/intercity buses to provide convenient transportation services for users and a business model for small to medium-sized mobility providers that encourages mutual growth, ultimately increasing transportation income for all involved.”

Meanwhile, T-Money GO is realizing ‘Public Transportation-Centered Integrated Mobility Service’ based on the trusted relationships built through collaboration with transportation industry workers.
