Panamera 4E Hybrid

Porsche is expanding its Panamera product line with the introduction of the ‘Panamera 4 E-Hybrid’ and the ‘Panamera 4S E-Hybrid’. With impressive acceleration, driving performance, and enhanced E-performance, the maximum electric driving range reaches 96 km.

The addition of the ‘Panamera 4 E-Hybrid’ and ‘Panamera 4S E-Hybrid’ enhances the new Panamera’s product portfolio.

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is efficient and versatile. It combines an improved 304-horsepower 2.9-liter V6 bi-turbo engine with a more powerful E-Hybrid system to deliver even stronger acceleration. It boasts a system output of 470 horsepower and a maximum torque of 66.28 kg∙m, reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 280 km/h. The purely electric driving range of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid has increased to 96 km (according to WLTP standards).

Panamera 4E-Hybrid

The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid is developed with an emphasis on driving dynamics and sustained power delivery at high revs. It features a 353-horsepower 2.9-liter six-cylinder bi-turbo engine, achieving a total system output of 544 horsepower and a maximum torque of 76.47 kg·m. The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 290 km/h.

Compared to the previous generation, all Panamera E-Hybrid models offer increased electric driving range, faster charging times, improved throttle response, and enhanced driving performance across the board. The new high-voltage battery with a total capacity of 25.9 kWh represents an increase of about 45 percent compared to previous models, charging in just 2 hours and 39 minutes with an 11kW onboard AC charger. The completely revitalized electric motor produces a significant 190 horsepower and 45.88 kg·m of torque, efficiently integrated with housing optimized for low weight and the oil cooling circulation system of the Porsche dual-clutch transmission. Enhanced throttle response is achieved through an internal rotor design that reduces mass inertia by up to 50 percent. The electric motor can also regenerate up to 88kW, greatly increasing the electric driving range of the Panamera E-Hybrid.

Four optimized E-Hybrid driving modes and improved Sport and Sport Plus modes increase the efficiency of the E-Hybrid models. All models start in E-Power mode, which is purely electric, and automatically switch to Hybrid Auto mode when the battery level drops below a minimum charge.

The E-Hold mode maintains the battery’s current charge level. In E-Charge mode, while driving at speeds above 55 km/h, the internal combustion engine charges the battery up to 80 percent, optimizing hybrid drive efficiency in urban traffic scenarios. In Sport and Sport Plus modes, the target battery charge levels are lowered to 20 percent and 30 percent respectively (from the previous 30 percent and 80 percent), increasing efficiency without sacrificing performance.

Porsche includes adaptive 2-chamber air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management featuring 2-valve dampers as standard on all new Panamera models.

The innovative Porsche Active Ride Active Suspension is also available on E-Hybrid models, optimizing traction and cornering while providing a high level of comfort. Each damper, applying 2-valve technology, is equipped with an electric hydraulic pump that stores rebound and compression force with a 400-volt system. The suspension absorbs most of the body movement on uneven surfaces and keeps the body level even in dynamic driving situations. Dampers operable at up to 13 Hz can adjust settings up to 13 times per second, rapidly adapting to various driving conditions and road surfaces. They actively correct pitch and rolling effects and offer an innovative feature that adjusts the ride height for easier entry and exit when opening the doors at a standstill.

The design of the new Panamera is sporty and distinctive. The front features newly designed standard matrix LED headlights and horizontally positioned additional air intakes. The rear showcases continuous taillights and frameless rear windows, with side lines accentuated by silver window trim.

The new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid comes standard with 19-inch wheels, black brake calipers, and matrix LED headlights, with innovative high-resolution HD matrix LED lighting available as an option. The new Panamera 4S E-Hybrid features 20-inch wheels from the Panamera Aero Design, silver sports tailpipes, and red brake calipers as standard, with acid green and black brake calipers available as options.

The new Panamera 4S E-Hybrid’s brakes come standard with 10-piston brake calipers on the front axle. Additionally, ceramic composite brakes can be selected as an option with 21-inch wheels. The ceramic composite discs measure 440mm for the front axle and 410mm for the rear axle.

The new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid offer an extended standard equipment package, including an air purification system, park assist, and a smartphone holder capable of wireless charging up to 15 watts. Furthermore, features like rear axle steering, remote park assist, and passenger display are available as options. The executive body type model with a longer wheelbase offers a 4-zone climate control and larger center console as standard.

The sales pricing for the German market, including special specifications for individual countries, starts at 123,400 euros for the new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 134,400 euros for the 4 E-Hybrid Executive, while the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid starts at 138,200 euros.

The new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid model is set to launch in South Korea in the second half of this year.
