BMW Korea has launched a new driving program called ‘i Starter Pack’ that introduces the all-electric BMW i4 eDrive40 as a test model, which will operate at the BMW Driving Center in Yeongjong-do starting this March.

The ‘Starter Pack’ at the BMW Driving Center is a foundational stage of the BMW driver training program, which includes driving theory and safety education, strategies for handling various driving situations, and circuit driving.

This newly established ‘i Starter Pack’ adds a curriculum specialized in electric vehicles to the existing training, aimed at helping both current customers and potential buyers of BMW electric cars better understand and familiarize themselves with the characteristics of electric vehicles.

The program begins with theoretical education about the BMW i brand vehicles, covering basic posture correction such as setting the correct seat position, steering wheel grip and operation techniques, emergency braking training utilizing the vehicle’s maximum braking ability, and training for handling understeer and oversteer, teaching essential driving skills that are foundational yet crucial.

Participants will experience the BMW charging infrastructure and practical charging processes, along with the electric vehicle-specific sound ‘BMW Iconic Sound Electric’ developed in collaboration with renowned composer Hans Zimmer, and track driving utilizing the most powerful regenerative braking mode, B mode, allowing them to experience the unique sporty driving of BMW electric vehicles.

The BMW i Starter Pack program lasts a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes, featuring the BMW i4 eDrive40, which delivers a powerful output of 340 horsepower and a maximum torque of 43.9 kg·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds, allowing participants to fully experience BMW’s distinctive joy of driving with high torsional rigidity and excellent driving stability.

Upon completion of the BMW Driving Center i Starter Pack program, participants can join the advanced programs offered at the BMW Driving Center, and reservations can be made through the official BMW Driving Center website.
