JLR Korea is launching the 2024 Defender 90 and 110 models, adding the All-New Defender 90 P400 X and the All-New Defender 110 County Edition to its lineup. The All-New Defender is a unique off-roader that has been reimagined for the 21st century, solidifying the Defender’s reputation as a century-old icon through pioneering innovations over the past 76 years.

In line with the New Year, JLR Korea will introduce the All-New Defender, which faithfully embodies the DNA of the original Defender, as its first model for the South Korean market in 2024. The 2024 All-New Defender 90 will feature a powerful gasoline powertrain across two trims, while the 2024 All-New Defender 110 will enhance its lineup with a new edition model that includes a new exterior package, thus reinforcing product competitiveness.

The All-New Defender is built on Land Rover’s newly designed latest D7x monocoque architecture. This platform boasts the strongest aluminum body in Land Rover history, with more than three times the torsional stiffness compared to traditional body-on-frame constructions. The All-New Defender, based on this robust chassis, can tow up to 3,500 kg.

Additional features of the All-New Defender include the next-generation Pivi Pro infotainment system with T-map navigation pre-installed. Moreover, it is equipped with SOTA (Software-Over-The-Air) functionality, allowing for remote updates of individual modules such as the engine, brakes, and power steering, without the need to visit a service center.

The All-New Defender 90 enhances its powertrain lineup with the introduction of a high-performance gasoline powertrain. The newly outfitted I6 Ingenium gasoline engine in the All-New Defender 90 P400 X delivers a powerful performance of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 56.1 kg·m, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just six seconds. Additionally, it features a Mild Hybrid (MHEV) system that improves engine efficiency while reducing exhaust emissions. This model is further equipped with the latest engine technologies such as twin-scroll turbochargers and continuously variable valves, thereby providing refined yet powerful driving performance.

The All-New Defender 90 P400 X is the culmination of Land Rover’s all-terrain technology and experience, offering outstanding performance on any terrain as a unique high-performance off-road vehicle.

Equipped with an adjustable Terrain Response System 2, drivers can customize new off-road modes according to their preferences. Alongside this, advanced off-road technologies such as electronic air suspension that adjusts ride height according to driving conditions and an electronic active rear locking differential that ensures optimal traction even in extreme situations provide a confident driving experience.

During on-road driving, the adaptive dynamics paired with the electronic air suspension allows for sharp handling and robust performance. Adaptive dynamics monitor body movement up to 500 times per second and optimize the continuously variable dampers instantaneously, providing stable driving and exceptional ride comfort on any terrain.

The All-New Defender 90 embodies the original Defender’s heritage with its striking silhouette. It maintains top-level off-road geometry with a 37.5° approach angle and a 40° departure angle. To differentiate the exterior of the All-New Defender 90 P400 X, gloss black is applied to the roof, bonnet, and cladding, completed with a Starlight Satin finish to create a rugged image.

The newly introduced County Edition for the 2024 model is an exterior package that reinterprets the unique heritage of the Defender with modern aesthetics, selectable based on the All-New Defender 110 D250 SE trim.

The body color finished in Tasma Blue features a contrast roof and tailgate in Fuji White, further highlighting the iconic Defender’s exterior.

The County graphics applied to the doors and side panels of the All-New Defender 110 County Edition are also echoed in the interior tread plates, enhancing design cohesion. Furthermore, the 20-inch alloy wheels finished in gloss white emphasize the Defender’s robust image.

The All-New Defender 110 D250 SE is paired with an I6 MHEV Ingenium diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering 249 horsepower and a maximum torque of 58.1 kg·m. It is also equipped with advanced off-road driving technologies such as the automatic terrain response system, electronic air suspension, and electronic active rear locking differential technologies. Additionally, thanks to adaptive dynamics technology, it achieves optimal performance across various road conditions.

Moreover, the All-New Defender can be tailored into a custom model that reflects the customer’s lifestyle through four accessory packs. Each accessory pack is divided into Explorer, Adventure, Country, and Urban packs, bestowing the All-New Defender with unique characteristics through various features provided by each pack.
