Audi Korea is launching the ‘New RS 7 Performance’, an even more powerful and faster model than the flagship RS 7 from the Audi RS lineup.
The Audi RS (Renn Sport, Racing Sport) models are high-performance vehicles specifically produced by Audi Sport GmbH, a subsidiary of Audi AG, which symbolize Audi’s challenge against the limits of technology. Since its debut, the ‘New Audi RS 7 Performance’ has been upgraded to deliver more powerful performance than any previous RS 7 models, featuring a 4.0-liter V8 gasoline engine with a large turbocharger and improved boost pressure, rising from 2.4 bar to 2.6 bar. This upgrade results in an additional 30 horsepower and 5.1 kg.m of torque compared to the existing RS 7 model. Enhanced with new technologies that provide an emotional sports driving experience, it allows drivers to choose between a comfortable ride or powerful and dynamic performance reminiscent of a racing car.
The ‘New Audi RS 7 Performance’ comes equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, showcasing a staggering output of 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 86.68 kg.m. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h (safety-limited), and offers a combined fuel efficiency of 7.3 km/l (6.3 km/l in the city, 9.2 km/l on the highway).
The exhaust sound has been enhanced by minimizing insulation between the engine room, interior, and rear, while the ‘Audi Drive Select’ allows drivers to switch between diverse driving modes. The ‘RS Sports Suspension Plus’, which includes dynamic ride control, improves driving performance and allows for more precise cornering, reducing understeer even when handling is pushed to the limit. Furthermore, the steering response becomes more accurate, allowing drivers to experience the refined yet dynamic driving performance unique to Audi RS models.
The ‘New Audi RS 7 Performance’ features a lowered body with sporty 22-inch 5-V spoked wheels and red calipers, enhancing Audi’s sporty image. Additionally, carbon package side moldings, side mirrors, front lip, rear diffuser lines, air intake blades, alongside black package treatments for the Audi logo, RS 7 badge, grille, rear diffuser, and window moldings create a perfect harmony, completing the elegant and sharp exterior synonymous with Audi RS models.
At the front, it is equipped with Audi’s laser light system illuminated by high-beam assist and LED lights, boasting the ‘HD Matrix LED headlights’ that provide a wider visibility range thanks to densely arranged beams brighter than regular LEDs. Both the headlights and taillights are integrated with dynamic turn signals that adjust the light’s intensity, showcasing Audi’s technological prowess in ensuring visibility and safety.
The interior space presents a seamless blend of sleek and tidy contours. Featuring carbon twill inlays and a black headlining (Dinamica) applied to the Nappa leather package on the dashboard’s top and shoulders, the gear shift, center console, and door armrests are also enhanced with the Dinamica package, capturing both sportiness and elegance. The RS sport seats, featuring honeycomb-patterned Valcona leather with RS logo red stitching, come with heated second-row seats and front seat ventilation, exemplifying the signature design of Audi RS models. Multi-color ambient lights and door entry lights further elevate the quality of the interior space.
The ‘New Audi RS 7 Performance’ is equipped with high-level safety and convenience systems, delivering a smart driving experience characteristic of Audi’s high-performance models. It comes with solar charging wireless high-pass (ETC) and features such as front/rear parking assistance systems and surround view displays, ‘Park Assist Plus’, and ‘360° camera’, all of which reflect Audi’s commitment to safety for both the driver and pedestrians, through technologies like ‘Audi Side Assist’ and exit warning systems. Additionally, the ‘Adaptive Cruise Assist’ adjusts the speed while maintaining a safe distance from the car in front, contributing to the safety of drivers and passengers alike.
Moreover, the vehicle includes a 12.3-inch ‘Virtual Cockpit Plus’ with RS mode-specific displays and a ‘MMI Navigation Plus’ touchscreen, as well as a ‘Head-Up Display’, allowing drivers to control all vehicle information in an integrated and intuitive manner.
The ‘Audi Smartphone Interface’ lets drivers access their smartphone content directly, while the ‘Audi Connect’ system provides various services such as navigation, infotainment functions, vehicle control, emergency calls, and roadside assistance, enabling a leisurely and safe driving experience. Furthermore, the infotainment system is equipped with wireless charging, four-zone automatic air conditioning, USB ports at the front and rear, voice control, and Bang & Olufsen’s 3D Advanced Sound System (19 channels, 19 speakers, 1,820 watts), all contributing to an optimal driving experience. Through the connection between the vehicle, driver, and network, the ‘Audi Connect’ system offers various safety and convenience services, allowing drivers to remotely control the vehicle and check its status using the My Audi application.
Meanwhile, Audi guarantees the “Audi Warranty” for all models sold through its official dealerships for five years or up to a maximum distance of 150,000 km (whichever comes first). Additionally, Audi provides the ‘Audi Car Service Plus’ program, which offers regular inspections and consumable parts replacement beyond basic vehicle warranty services, ensuring professional and systematic vehicle maintenance that can be utilized at Audi’s official service centers at no extra cost.
The price of the ‘New Audi RS 7 Performance’ is 181,800,000 KRW (including VAT).
