KG Mobility held a production launch event for the Torres EVX on the 3rd at their Pyeongtaek plant, ahead of its full-scale customer deliveries.

Attending the ceremony at the Assembly Line 1 of the Pyeongtaek Plant were KG Mobility Chairman Kwak Jae-sun, CEO Jung Yong-won, Union Chairman Seon Mok-rae, and Production Division Head Park Jang-ho, along with employees responsible for production, all united to reaffirm their commitment to perfect product quality.

The event began with a report on the development process of the Torres EVX, followed by a congratulatory speech from Chairman Kwak, a motivational address from Chairman Seon, a chant with the employees expressing their determination, and a commemorative photo session.

In his speech, Chairman Kwak emphasized, “KG Mobility has laid the foundation for management normalization with record-high sales and continuous profits for three consecutive quarters, supported by the increase in sales volume including the Torres this year. It’s especially significant that the Torres EVX is our first electric vehicle launched after the name change to KG Mobility, marking a new challenge towards becoming a mobility company. Therefore, we must all strive to produce products of perfect quality and enhance production efficiency to provide even greater satisfaction to our customers.”

Chairman Seon noted, “The successful launch of the Torres EVX, following the Torres, was made possible by the collective efforts of the management, employees, and the labor union for normalization. The Torres EVX will represent the hope of KG Mobility’s employees and be a model that symbolizes electric vehicles, ensuring that we lead in developing eco-friendly vehicles through the active role of the labor union.”

Additionally, employees responsible for the production of the Torres EVX shouted the slogan, “Let’s continue the success story of the Torres EVX as our imagination becomes reality,” demonstrating their commitment.

The Torres EVX is anticipated to gain immense popularity in the market as it combines the authentic SUV style suitable for off-road and leisure activities with a future-oriented electrification model, making it one of the most SUV-like mid-sized electric vehicles.

The Torres EVX offers features preferred by consumers, including autonomous driving capabilities, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), connectivity navigation features, and an electronic transmission system, starting from the base models, while also finalizing prices that are approximately 2 million won lower than the pre-contract vehicle prices (from 48.5 million to 52 million won). The confirmed prices are ▲E5 47.5 million won and ▲E7 49.6 million won after tax benefits.
