Volkswagen Korea is recruiting participants for the “2023 Volkswagen Golf Treffens Korea,” a festival for Golf owners set to be held on December 3rd (Sunday).

This event, taking place in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, draws inspiration from the Volkswagen Festival “Wörthersee GTI Treffens” held in Austria.

Since 1982, this event has occurred in the lakeside city of Wörthersee, and as the name “Treffen,” meaning “gathering” in German, suggests, it is well-known for gathering Volkswagen Golf owners to showcase their vehicles and share information annually.

The 2023 Volkswagen Golf Treffens Korea will offer participants a chance to feel the 49-year heritage of the Golf through photo zones with first-generation and eighth-generation Golfs, a mini-game zone for everyone to enjoy, and a snack zone featuring various winter treats. Additional activities will include the “Best Golf Contest,” a group quiz about Volkswagen and Golf knowledge, a test drive program for the latest Golf models, and a lucky draw.

Jun-hyung Park, the leader of the group god and operator of the YouTube channel ‘Cultureman,’ is expected to attend this event. He has shown great affection for the Golf 7.5, which he operates as a daily car on his YouTube channel, and will spend time sharing stories with fellow Golf owners.

Shin Dong-hyup, Executive Director of Marketing Communications at Volkswagen Korea, stated, “We prepared this event to create a space for owners of the timeless hatchback icon Golf to introduce their cars and enjoy the various charms of the Golf together.” He further hopes that the event will create joyful experiences and lasting memories for Golf owners who have shown great love and interest for so long.

Registration for the 2023 Volkswagen Golf Treffens Korea opens from November 14 through the official Volkswagen Korea Naver Post, and participants can also apply via a comment event being held on Volkswagen Korea’s official Instagram starting November 15.

A total of 70 Golf vehicles will be invited for this event, with winners announced individually on November 21. All participants will receive an official Volkswagen accessory package and specially produced commemorative stickers.
