The Kia Carnival Hybrid is gaining popularity quickly. Immediately after its launch, it has outpaced the diesel, gasoline, and hybrid versions in market share with its impressive performance. Kia reported that around 80% of reservation customers have chosen the hybrid. This can be considered a grand slam for the Carnival Hybrid.

Kia’s domestic sales headquarters announced that the hybrid version of the 4th generation facelifted Carnival, which started reservation sales earlier this month, is experiencing tremendous interest. The Carnival Hybrid model is equipped with a 1.6 gasoline hybrid turbo engine, demonstrating a total system output of 245 horsepower. This is overwhelming compared to the 194-horsepower 2.2 diesel model and is close to the powerful 294-horsepower gasoline model.

The Carnival Hybrid is not just about high output; it also boasts excellent efficiency. According to Kia’s measurements, the Carnival Hybrid achieves a fuel efficiency of 14 km per liter, easily surpassing the 13.1 km per liter of the diesel model. If you were previously drawn to the diesel model for its efficiency, it seems the hybrid model is now trending with its blend of power and efficiency.

Given the attractiveness of the Carnival, reactions at dealerships and showrooms are overwhelmingly positive for the Carnival Hybrid. A representative from a Kia showroom stated, “Most customers purchasing the Carnival are choosing the hybrid for its power and efficiency.” The dominance of hybrid sales in a model that previously only saw pure internal combustion engine sales indicates how long these customers have been waiting for a hybrid option.

Kia’s domestic headquarters has also expressed surprise at the success of the Carnival Hybrid. They emphasized, “80% of reservation customers have chosen the hybrid,” asserting that “the Carnival Hybrid will be a game changer in the new era of electrification.”
