Despite the holiday season, the sales volume of domestic cars in September remained stable at 106,678 units, slightly up from 106,591 units in the previous month, showing an increase of 0.08%. While Hyundai, Genesis, and GM saw declines, Kia, KG Mobility, and Renault reported increases.

Hyundai sold 45,397 units, a slight decline of 2.15% from 46,375 units the previous month. The Grandeur saw a drop to 8,159 units, decreasing by 7.5% from 8,820 units. The Porter recorded sales of 5,781 units, down 3.4% from the previous month’s 5,987. However, the Santa Fe surged to 5,139 units sold, representing an impressive increase of 85.2% compared to 2,775 units last month.

Genesis reported sales of 8,514 units, a decrease of 7.3% from the previous month’s 9,180 units. The GV70 sold 2,864 units, down 2.2% from 2,927 units a month ago. The G80 sold 2,819 units, a drop of 3.6% from 2,923 units. Meanwhile, the GV80 saw a decline to 1,507 units, down by 10.9% from 1,692 units last month.

Kia’s performance was strong, with 44,415 units sold, marking a 4.9% increase from 42,334 units the previous month. The Sorento achieved sales of 10,190 units, a remarkable 42% increase from 7,176 units, thus surpassing the Grandeur and earning a spot among the popular choices. The Sportage sold 5,402 units, slightly up by 3.7% from 5,210 units, and the Seltos rose to 4,399 units, a 25.3% jump from 3,512 units.

KG Mobility experienced a rise with 4,069 units sold, marking a 4.3% increase from 3,903 units. The Torres sold 1,584 units, slightly down by 0.5% from 1,592 units last month. The Rexton Sports reported sales of 1,458 units, an 11.3% increase from 1,310 units, and the Tivoli saw an increase to 744 units, up 16.4% from 639 units.

General Motors sold 2,632 units, a substantial decline of 20.2% from the previous month’s 3,297 units. The Trax crossover recorded 1,424 units, dropping by 33.1% from 2,129 units, while the Trailblazer saw 558 units sold, down by 17.2% from 674 units. The Bolt EUV, however, saw a positive turn, with sales rising to 397 units from the previous month’s 209 units, marking a 90% increase.

Renault Korea sold 1,651 units, reflecting an increase of 9.9% from 1,502 units last month. The QM6 saw sales rise to 839 units, a 22.5% jump from 685 units. The XM3 sold 675 units, up 7.3% from 629 units. However, the SM6 saw a decline, selling only 137 units, down 27.1% from 188 units last month.
