Emira

Lotus Cars Korea is making waves in the domestic market, successfully launching pre-orders for the Eletra.

The Eletra is the first SUV from the Lotus brand and a pure electric hypercar. It reflects 75 years of core principles and expertise honed in sports car design and engineering, developed as a completely new lifestyle vehicle. Due to this distinctive character, it is regarded as the most advanced Lotus to date, combining comfort, high performance, cutting-edge luxury design, and sustainability.

The Eletra will be sold in two trims in South Korea. The Eletra S, with a 112kWh lithium-ion battery, offers a peak output of 612 horsepower, while the Eletra R provides a peak output of 918 horsepower, showcasing the essence of the Lotus brand. Regardless of the trim, customers can experience advanced battery charging technology, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes and enabling a driving range of up to 120 km (WLTP standard) with just 5 minutes of charge.

Lotus Cars Korea began pre-orders alongside the Eletra preview event on September 21 at Peach’s Dwon in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. All expected quantities were booked within a week of the pre-order launch, demonstrating the market’s positive reaction to Lotus’s transformation into a premium automotive brand.

Furthermore, the pre-orders for the Emira, the brand’s last combustion engine sports car, also garnered significant interest from customers. The Emira was introduced to local consumers through a pop-up exhibition and pre-order event held at the Lotte World Tower event hall in Jamsil, Seoul, from June to October 2.

As a result, over 350 units comprising both the Lotus Emira and Eletra have been secured, reinforcing the strong interest of domestic consumers in Lotus, a brand known for its unique identity as ‘a car for drivers.’ Additionally, the opportunity to see both the Emira and Eletra on South Korean roads will become a reality starting next year.

In addition, Lotus Cars Korea will conduct private lounge viewings for customers wishing to pre-order the Emira and Eletra ahead of the official opening of the Lotus flagship showroom in November. The Lotus flagship showroom will be a place to experience both the hyper SUV Eletra and the last combustion engine model, Emira, along with Lotus’s present and future.

Beginning October 16, customers wishing to participate in the private lounge viewing and pre-orders can apply through the ‘Pre-consultation Application’ on the Lotus Cars Korea website.

A spokesperson for Lotus Cars Korea stated, “Through the Eletra preview event and pre-orders held at Peach’s Dwon, we were able to confirm the enthusiastic interest and expectations of domestic consumers,” adding, “We will strive to allow more people to personally experience the dramatic transformation of Lotus as it embraces a new identity as a premium performance brand through the Emira and Eletra.”

Meanwhile, Kolon Mobility Group, which established Lotus Cars Korea by signing an official partnership agreement with Lotus Cars in May of this year, continues to independently distribute as the only official importer of Lotus Cars in South Korea. They are set to open the Lotus flagship showroom in the second half of the year on Dosan-daero, an area known for its concentration of luxury fashion and automotive brands, and a dedicated service center in Goyang City, pursuing a more aggressive trajectory. More details can be found on the official website of Lotus Cars Korea.
