McLaren Automotive has collaborated with the UK high-end audio brand Bowers & Wilkins to launch a new version of the wireless smart speaker, the “Zeppelin McLaren Edition.”

The two longstanding partners gained significant popularity last year with the release of the flagship wireless headphones, the “Px8 McLaren Edition.” The newly introduced “Zeppelin” takes design cues from McLaren supercars, featuring a sophisticated Galvanic Gray color finish highlighted with the iconic McLaren Papaya Orange.

The Zeppelin not only reflects the design sensibilities of McLaren but also embodies the powerful performance philosophy of supercars. It boasts impressive sound quality powered by a robust output, capturing McLaren’s high-performance identity.

B&W has also unveiled a limited edition of the “Zeppelin McLaren Edition” to celebrate McLaren’s 60th anniversary. This limited edition will be available in a scarce quantity of just 60 pieces worldwide, enhancing its exclusivity. The speaker silhouette showcases a vivid orange color reminiscent of racing, while the back of the speaker features McLaren’s early emblem, the Speedy Kiwi, paying tribute to Bruce McLaren’s achievements.

With the advent of the music streaming era, the wireless smart speaker Zeppelin incorporates a stereo system into a single component. It features reference-level drive unit technology with dedicated speaker assemblies flanking a large central subwoofer and supports a powerful maximum output of 240W.

B&W has announced the introduction of a music streaming service through a new music app, along with wireless multi-room capabilities for the new product launch. This service will extend multi-room compatibility benefits with the Panorama 3 and Formation wireless speaker portfolio.

Since 2015, McLaren Automotive has partnered with B&W, developing high-performance audio systems exclusively for McLaren supercars and hypercars based on the superior technology both companies pursue. Recently, McLaren debuted the 750S supercar equipped with B&W audio system developed in close collaboration with McLaren’s design and engineering teams.

George Bicks, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of McLaren Automotive, expressed his excitement saying, “Following the success of the Px8 McLaren Edition headphones, we are thrilled to launch the Zeppelin McLaren Edition wireless smart speaker in collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins. Both companies are continually striving to push the boundaries of excellence in automotive engineering and audio. Now, you can enjoy the audio experience you find in a McLaren supercar in your own home!”

Meanwhile, the “Zeppelin McLaren Edition” is expected to launch in November at the official Bowers & Wilkins store located in Lotte Department Store’s main branch.
