Nielsen Ad Intel announced on the 18th the total advertising spending in the automotive industry for the first half of 2023, along with the ranking of domestic market advertising expenditures by company.

The results are based on Nielsen Ad Intel’s precise analysis, which encompasses both traditional media, such as TV and radio, and new media, including digital videos and digital banners.

According to the released data, Hyundai Motor took the spot as the largest advertiser in the domestic automotive industry for the first half of 2023, followed by Kia and Volvo Cars. Additionally, KG Mobility ranked 5th, resulting in three domestic automotive manufacturers being among the top five spenders.

Nielsen Ad Intel also revealed the total advertising expenditure for the automotive industry. The advertising spending for the first half of this year amounted to approximately 276.23 billion KRW, indicating a significant share in the domestic advertising market.
