The Kia Carnival, the flagship large RV by Kia, returns with a more refined and robust appearance.

On the 27th (Friday), Kia unveiled the exterior design of the ‘The New Carnival’ for the first time.

The New Carnival is an updated model that enhances the product competitiveness of the 4th generation Carnival, which was launched in August 2020 and has been loved by many customers, being presented as a product improvement after three years.

The New Carnival features an exterior design that harmonizes refined elegance with ruggedness inspired by the modern boldness concept based on Kia’s brand design philosophy ‘Opposites United.’

The front end integrates vertical headlamps and ‘Signature Starmap Lighting’ daytime running lights (DRL) to create a futuristic image, emphasizing luxurious details with a prominent radiator grille for an imposing presence.

A simple yet refined bumper design and a sleekly trimmed lower skid plate work together to achieve a sophisticated and impactful front design.

The side view showcases vertical headlamps and rear combination lamps that flow harmoniously along straight character lines, creating a sense of balance, while newly designed alloy wheels underscore a sturdy and strong appearance.

The rear features a repositioned license plate that moves lower and eliminates exposed handles for a wide and clean tailgate, while the ‘Starmap Rear Combination Lamp’ that connects left and right offers a cohesive and upscale look.

Additionally, the combination of black cladding at the bumper’s lower section and a wide skid plate enhances its robust image.

The design-specialized trim, Gravity, includes a unique radiator grille and wheels, while a dark metallic color applied to the roof rack, C-pillar, tailgate, door garnish, and front and rear skid plates maximizes an impression of durability and luxury.

The New Carnival will be available in six exterior colors, including a new Ivory Silver, Snow White Pearl, Astra Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Pantera Metal, and Ceramic Silver.

Kia is also planning to introduce a 1.6 Turbo Hybrid model to cater to customers who prefer hybrid models, thus offering a total of three powertrain options: gasoline, diesel, and hybrid.

A Kia representative stated, “The Carnival has maintained its status as an unparalleled family car based on its specialized product competitiveness for family-oriented customers. We plan to disclose detailed information about the New Carnival’s product competitiveness and pricing to align with next month’s pre-order schedule.”
