Train delays? TMAP will immediately inform you of alternative routes. Additionally, when taking the airport bus, seat reservations are now possible. Moreover, while planning long-distance travel, there’s a feature to book nearby popular accommodations. This is the nation’s navigation service, TMAP.

On the 4th, TMAP Mobility held a press conference for the “All New TMAP” at the SKT Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul. Launched in 2002, TMAP has undergone countless upgrades to become the nation’s go-to navigation app. And it’s not stopping there; TMAP is attempting to transform into a multi-app once again.

The first of these changes is the integration of the previously separate TMAP Public Transport into TMAP. Now, there’s no need to switch between navigation and public transport apps while going out. Just enter your destination into the unified TMAP search bar, and you’ll receive both optimal public transportation routes and the best driving routes all at once.

While the previous TMAP served simply as a navigation tool, the All New TMAP aims to create an integrated mobility platform that is easy to use for those who do not use a car.

For public transport users, it offers more than mere route guidance. In the event of delays due to subway strikes or train accidents, it provides alternative routes at that moment. Furthermore, when disembarking from subway stations or bus stops, if the walking distance is long, users can search for personal mobility options like electric scooters.

But that’s not all. With the introduction of airport seat bus search and reservation functions, now you can use the airport bus without worrying about seats. Additionally, starting in October, a shared bicycle service feature will be added, greatly increasing mobility convenience.

It doesn’t stop at merely searching and viewing public transportation. Beyond location movement, restaurant and accommodation reservation features will also be introduced later this year. CTO of TMAP Mobility, Jeong Min-kyu, emphasized that “There are 40,000 accommodation facilities that can be reserved within TMAP, which is 1.5 to 2 times more than existing accommodation reservation apps, ensuring that users can conveniently reserve all types of accommodation without hassle.”

CEO Lee Jong-ho emphasized that “TMAP will accompany users through every moment of mobility as an integrated mobility platform.”
