Audi Korea is launching the limited sales model of the large sedan ‘A8’, titled ‘A8 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition’.
The ‘Audi Exclusive Edition’ allows customers to easily experience tailored vehicle design and ordering through the ‘Audi Exclusive Order’ program, available in limited quantities and can only be ordered through the official Audi website.
The ‘A8 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition’ is an exclusive edition of the ‘A8’, emphasizing a sleek and sporty appearance with a black exterior package applied to the window moldings, single frame, exterior mirrors, taillight lines, and diffuser. Inside, it features a sports comfort seat, diamond stitching, and S line badges as part of the S line interior package. Additionally, it is equipped with a sporty three-spoke steering wheel that enhances the sporty vibe of the existing A8 model.
The ‘A8 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition’ is powered by a 3.0L V6 diesel direct injection turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Combined with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, it delivers dynamic driving performance. It boasts maximum output of 286 horsepower and peak torque of 61.18 kg.m, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (safety limit). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, with a combined fuel efficiency of 11.4 km/l (10.0 km/l in the city, 13.7 km/l on the highway).
Starting with the sports exterior package, it features an aluminum blade in the front bumper and sporty side sill designs that further accentuate its elegant appearance. Utilizing Audi’s space frame innovative lightweight structural technology, the total vehicle weight is reduced while achieving excellent strength and rigidity, contributing to superior driving safety and improved fuel efficiency. The ‘A8 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition’ showcases its flagship sedan stature with 20-inch 10-parallel spoke style wheels.
The ‘A8 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition’ comes equipped with a variety of Audi’s innovative safety and premium convenience features. When stationary, the rear radar sensor detects fast-approaching vehicles or bicycles in blind spots, activating an exit warning system with LED flashing in the side mirrors and doors, temporarily preventing door operation. Additionally, Audi Side Assist detects vehicles approaching from the blind spot or rear during driving, sending warnings through the side mirrors.
It also includes a front/rear parking assist system, surround view display, and 360° cameras to facilitate safe and convenient parking. Furthermore, various advanced safety features such as ‘Pre Sense 360°’ and ‘Side Assist’ ensure safety for both passengers and pedestrians. An adaptive cruise control feature adjusts speed while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
Equipped with dynamic turn signals, the ‘Digital Matrix LED Headlights’ incorporate an X-shaped design and blue LED lighting to visually convey Audi’s progressive and elegant design.
The ‘Digital Matrix LED Headlights’ with Audi laser lights offer higher brightness compared to regular LEDs, providing a wider visibility range with densely arranged beams. The ‘OLED Tail Lights’ bring vitality to the rear design with its three-dimensional design, completing the vehicle’s exterior aesthetics. The ‘OLED Tail Lights’ utilize OLED technology for uniformly illuminating geometric shapes and boast adjustable brightness for enhanced visibility and safety. They also showcase unique light movements during vehicle locking/unlocking.
Featuring a 12.3-inch ‘Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus’ and dual touch screens with haptic feedback in the MMI Navigation Plus and MMI Touch Response, it offers a driver-friendly layout with clear and outstanding resolution, enabling an intuitive control environment for all vehicle information.
Through the ‘Audi Smartphone Interface’, drivers can easily access their smartphone content. Additional conveniences include a ‘Head-up Display’, wireless charging, and the premium Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system (16 channels, 17 speakers, 730 watts) that elevates the driving experience. Audi also offers a guarantee called “Audi Warranty” for all Audi models sold through official dealers, covering a period of 5 years or up to 150,000 km (whichever comes first).
The ‘Audi A8 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition’ is limited to just 50 units available in Korea, priced at 140,380,000 won (including VAT).
