Hyundai Motor Company is launching the ‘2024 Ioniq 6’ and starting sales.

The 2024 Ioniq 6 features standardization of popular specifications based on customer feedback, expanding customer choice with new packages for each trim level.

Starting from the entry-level Exclusive trim, Hyundai has made features such as a vibration warning steering wheel, second row safety power windows, rain sensors, and electronic rearview mirror (ECM) standard, while the top-tier Prestige trim includes BOSE premium sound as standard to enhance the product’s appeal.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the Ioniq 6, Hyundai is offering an ‘Anniversary Package’ that bundles two popular optional items for each trim at an economical price, maximizing value for money (performance-to-price ratio).

The ‘Anniversary Package I’, available for the Exclusive trim, includes advanced driver-assistance systems like Highway Driving Assist 2 as part of ‘Hyundai SmartSense’, as well as convenience features like a high-pass system and wireless smartphone charging.

The ‘Anniversary Package II’, available for the Exclusive Plus trim, integrates parking assistance features such as surround view monitoring and remote smart parking assist 2 for enhanced parking convenience, alongside options for a passenger power seat and a driver’s position memory system for added comfort.

Hyundai has priced both the anniversary package I and II at 1.48 million won and 1.68 million won respectively, matching the prices of the existing Hyundai SmartSense and Parking Assist packages. (※ prices before electric vehicle tax incentives).

Additionally, Hyundai has improved the usability of the V2L (Vehicle To Load) feature applied to the Ioniq 6, enabling a more enhanced electric vehicle experience.

When utilizing the V2L feature inside or outside the vehicle, information regarding available usage time is provided through the cluster or infotainment display, alleviating customer anxiety over excessive battery power consumption while supporting proactive battery management. (※ the cluster does not display during indoor V2L use).

Moreover, Hyundai has reconfigured the 2024 Ioniq 6 Exclusive Plus trim based on customer preference, reducing the selling price by 700,000 won to meet customer demands while lowering purchase burdens; other trims have maintained frozen prices despite standardization of popular specifications, boosting the overall competitive strength of the Ioniq 6.

The selling prices after electric vehicle tax incentives are as follows: Standard model Exclusive at 52 million won, Long Range models; Exclusive at 56.05 million won, Exclusive Plus at 57.75 million won, Prestige at 61.35 million won, and E-LITE at 52.6 million won. (※ based on 2WD).

If a customer in Seoul purchases a Long Range Exclusive trim 2WD (18-inch wheels), they can receive a total subsidy of 8.6 million won, lowering the final purchase price to around 47.45 million won. The Seoul city aims to supply 7,823 electric vehicles this second half of the year, starting from the subsidy application period on the 7th of last month.

Since its launch last year, the Ioniq 6 has garnered international acclaim, including the title of ‘2023 World Car of the Year (WCOTY)’, thanks to its streamlined design, exceptional electric consumption efficiency, and diverse safety and convenience features.

The Ioniq 6 offers a range of lighting technologies designed to provide a new mobility experience for passengers, from welcome lighting that greets the driver to dual-color ambient mood lamps that interactively respond to the driver.

Meanwhile, Hyundai is implementing various marketing activities in line with the 2024 Ioniq 6 launch.

This includes showcasing the Ioniq 6 and other vehicles from the Ioniq brand as part of the environmentally friendly running campaign ‘Longest Run 2023’ (September-October), now in its eighth year, and exhibiting vehicles at events like the ‘2023 Korea Future Mobility Expo’ (October) and ‘Green Business Week 2023’ (November), all centered around sustainability.
