Encar.com has revealed that the most requested vehicle for its non-face-to-face purchasing service, ‘Encar Home Service’, from January to August this year is the ‘Kia Carnival’.

As the demand for SUVs and RVs rises during the Chuseok holiday and the autumn outdoor season, Encar.com analyzed the top 10 SUV/RV models that received the most applications for the ‘Encar Home Service’ from January to August. The analysis showed that the Kia Carnival ranked 1st, 6th, and 9th in its generations, emerging as the most popular model.

The 2018-2020 Kia Carnival, referred to as The New Carnival, topped the list of SUV/RV models applied for the Encar Home Service this year, while the 2014-2018 Old New Carnival ranked 6th, and the latest model, the 4th generation Carnival, secured the 9th position. The Carnival, evaluated as an ‘irreplaceable’ multipurpose vehicle in the country, enjoys high popularity in the used car market due to its practicality based on spacious interior space, making it a favored family car for households with multiple children.

Ranked 2nd among popular SUVs is the 4th generation Kia Sorento, which has maintained the top sales position for mid-size SUVs in the domestic market for three consecutive years since the launch of its fully revamped model in 2020, owing to its reasonable price and high practicality.

The 3rd rank belongs to the Renault The New QM6, which continues to be popular as a ‘cost-effective SUV’, and the 4th spot is held by the Kia Seltos, maintaining the number one position in the domestic compact SUV category. The 5th rank goes to the Hyundai Palisade, which leads the large SUV market in Korea. Following them are the 7th place Hyundai The New Tucson, 8th place Genesis GV70, and 10th place Renault XM3.
