Volvo Cars Korea has announced that it will publicly unveil the new premium electric SUV, the Volvo EX30, which marks the beginning of Volvo’s pure electric vehicle era, this November.

The premium compact electric SUV EX30 is the first small SUV to be introduced in Volvo’s brand history, and it is the fourth model expanding its pure electric vehicle lineup. It has been developed to meet new customer demands in line with the diversifying global electric vehicle trends.

Designed to enhance safety, convenience, and enjoyment in people’s lives, the EX30 showcases Scandinavian design and cutting-edge technology while maintaining high safety standards and brand experience even in a small body.

Since its first reveal in June in Milan, the EX30 has garnered high expectations worldwide due to its innovative spatial design and smart storage technologies, signaling the electric era. It offers safe space technology implementing a new level of urban safety and advanced connectivity supporting personalized journeys.

The EX30 is set to begin production in the second half of this year, with a full global roll-out scheduled for 2024. It will be officially unveiled in Korea this November, along with pre-orders, with deliveries expected in the first half of next year.

Lee Yoon-mo, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea, stated, “The EX30 is a model that packages everything customers expect from Volvo in a new and innovative way,” urging people to keep an eye on the new SUV that will herald a new era in the premium electric vehicle market.

Meanwhile, specific specifications and pricing details for the EX30 in Korea have yet to be finalized and will be released sequentially in the future.
