Stellantis Korea has released the results of an internal survey aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction by assessing the satisfaction levels of actual Jeep Grand Cherokee buyers.

The survey was conducted online from September 13 to 14, targeting 480 actual purchasers of the entire Grand Cherokee lineup (Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Grand Cherokee L). It covered various aspects from purchase to driving stages.

The results revealed that over 85% of the main drivers of the Grand Cherokee are male, with 70% aged between 40 and 50. This indicates that men in their 40s and 50s, who have significant purchasing power, are the primary buyers of this high-end model within the Jeep brand. Additionally, while ‘commuting’ was cited as the primary use at 40%, ‘weekend travel’ was also noted by 30%, demonstrating the flagship SUV’s versatility for both urban and travel needs.

The main factor for purchasing the Grand Cherokee was identified as ‘vehicle size’. Interestingly, buyers aged 30 to 35 prioritized ‘exterior design’, whereas those aged 50 to 55 leaned towards ‘value for money’, suggesting some differences in factors based on age demographics.

Given that ‘vehicle size’ was a major purchasing factor, respondents indicated the greatest satisfaction with ‘interior space’ (58.6%), followed by ‘stylish exterior’ (40.9%), ‘safety features’ (30.1%), and ‘luxury feel’ (22.2%).

Specifically, satisfaction with features unique to the Jeep Grand Cherokee was notably high. Approximately 58% of respondents rated the ‘McIntosh sound system’ as the most satisfying feature, with the ‘Quadra-Lift™ air suspension system’, offering differentiated ride comfort, following at 37.6%. Other highly rated features included the dual-pane panoramic sunroof (33.3%), 360-degree surround-view camera (28%), and Uconnect 10.1-inch touchscreen (25.8%).

Finally, among the 480 respondents, 80.4% stated they would recommend the Grand Cherokee to friends and family. The reasons cited were high ‘value for money’ and strengths in overall satisfaction, exterior design, safety, ride comfort, interior design, and space. The brand image, driving performance, luxury feel, and durability also received positive feedback.

The Grand Cherokee, having evolved over the past 30 years, boasts over 700 awards and has sold more than 7 million units globally, maintaining its reputation as Jeep’s premium SUV. In South Korea, it is sold in three lineups: the Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Grand Cherokee L.
