“The new Cayenne allows drivers to experience the performance of a sports car while adding more enjoyment for passengers,” emphasized Holger Gehrman, President of Porsche Korea.

Porsche Korea held the launch event for the new Cayenne model on the 17th at Respas Etna Cheongdam in Gangnam, Seoul. The Cayenne debuted in 2002 as “the first five-seat Porsche,” entering the luxury SUV market. Since its launch in 2002, the Cayenne has become a flagship model for Porsche, with over 300,000 units delivered globally. In Korea, the Cayenne has recorded 3,112 units out of a total of 6,226 Porsche sales, accounting for 50% of the brand’s sales.

The Cayenne has now stepped onto Korean soil as a new third-generation facelift model equipped with advanced convenience features. The new Cayenne significantly enhances passenger comfort. A 10.9-inch monitor for the front passenger, previously available only in the Taycan, is being introduced in the Cayenne for the first time among Porsche’s internal combustion engine models. This shift emphasizes a focus on family-friendly usability.

Holger Gehrman stated, “Let’s enhance the experience of feeling the performance of a sports car while adding features for passengers’ enjoyment.” During family trips, passengers can enjoy a variety of infotainment system content provided by Porsche through the dedicated monitor. A fresh air purification system has also been applied, showing consideration for the health of the passengers.

The new Cayenne has also been designed with the driver in mind. The performance of the rear axle steering has been enhanced, and the sports car capabilities have been improved. As a result, the performance of the high-end Turbo GT model has slightly increased from 664 horsepower to 673 horsepower.

An advanced driver assistance system has been integrated, featuring an active speed limiter, lane-change assist, and cornering assist, all designed to help ensure the safety of the driver and passengers in both traffic jams and hazardous conditions.

Holger emphasized regarding the new Cayenne model, “It is a car perfectly suited for the Korean market with outstanding performance as a sports car and exceptional comfort. Moreover, with cutting-edge driving systems, safety has been significantly enhanced, making it a car that the whole family can enjoy on long trips.”

The new Cayenne is priced at 133.1 million won, the Cayenne Coupe at 137.8 million won, and the Cayenne Turbo GT at 261.9 million won.
